Hey guys since we are 2 months in to the new server, I just wanted to let you know how I feel. A lot of people I was previously friends with on classic have became rude, two-faced, and arrogant. I'm not going to mention any names, but I am verry disappointed with some of the staff members and other players. If this keeps up Ill just leave. The new server was not what I thought and for me to pay 400 dollars and not get what it's worth, is pretty upsetting. Moving on from that, it's extremely hard to build on my island with this unwanted lag. It's pretty sad to see my favorite server go down hill like this. I'm just expressing how I feel and want you all to become aware what I've been going through on here and I'm sorry if I am ever cruel to you I don't mean it. Just hope this can go uphill for me.
Agreed, donor400 is a total ripoff, nerf the kids, add more cooldown for /kit spawner, remove /tptoggle, whats next, /speed? They honestly just need to fix things before they go all ballsy on nerfing everything thats fine.
Now adding the wither pet and some other cool trails is nice, but they just removed the wither pet lmao. Donor400 cant catch a break lmfao
Donor 400 is for net users, not for the new server. Consider yourselves lucky thank ranks even transferred over.
Well that's where you're wrong Just A Few Things Regarding "Donations" | Skyblock Forums It says in the tos we're buying ranks for ingame items and bonuses, failing to bring the rank over would probably break this. Sorry, youll have to try again next year.
I can agree with you. This server on average has 100-120 players on during the week at high and close to 200 on the weekends. Any other server I've played on can completely handle more than double the current server's user rate and has better performance. I know for a fact that this server brings in thousands monthly, check the flow of purchases at shop.skyblock.net, yet I see no evidence of that improving the server. Like holy crap, how expensive could it possibly be to make a server handle 200+ players? It's not like the staff are getting paid in real dollars to help the server. Is this money just going straight to the owners? Are they just watching the server slowly crumble from its original state? These are my thoughts, msg me if you have another point.
If Donor400 and the recent drop party wasnt enough proof the server is lacking professionalism, I dont know what is.
I agree with you. Lee seems to take a neutral stance and very well implements our ideas. I think for sure changes can be made to the amount of professionalism seen on the server.
The server is dying yes, they are losing old players, they are losing their donors, so I wouldn't be surprised if the server gets shut down. Like I have been looking into servers. U can rent a 64gb ram server for about a two hundred a month (This figure will be off once u add on hard drive space. And unlimited data) This price was configured for a dedicated server in new york, with 64gb emmc ram, 256gb ssd, and 10 terabytes of data of month. So overall not to shabby.
Sure, 64 GB RAM may sound good, but you shouldn't allocate more than 16 GB of RAM. You see, when the JVM runs low on memory, it performs garbage collection to free up RAM, which is very CPU-intensive, and thus, causes lag, and the more RAM allocated, the more garbage collection, thus more lag.
true. However the more ram you have. You compensate with more cpu power. The example I used has I think 4 cpus running over 3gh SO meh
