I am 15 years old and currently in 10th grade. I live in the state of New Mexico and I enjoy math, chess, video games, and puzzles. Thank you for taking the time to read my application.

I speak both English and Russian. I have visited family in Russia six times throughout my life and I am also currently taking Russian for my foreign language credit in high school. I would consider myself fluent enough to hold a simple conversation using everyday words.

Yes, I do have the necessary means of capturing evidence. I have recording software, as well as the ability to capture screenshots in-game.


Why do you think you should become a mod?

I would like to become a moderator because I enjoy helping people solve issues that they are having, and I feel that becoming a moderator will help me do that. I also believe that I should become a moderator for the following reasons.

Active
I play on skyblock almost every day, for at least an hour, but usually more. Most likely because of my time zone, I have been online many times when there were no moderators on Skyblock. It has not happened super often, however there have been quite a few times that I have had to contact a moderator through discord because there were none online, and people were breaking the rules. If I were to be promoted, it would decrease the amount of time that the server does not have someone moderating the server throughout the day, because I am active at times when there are not a lot of moderators online.

Approachable
I am a very approachable person. If anyone messages me with a question, or just wants to get to know me, I always treat them with respect, and try my best to answer whatever question they have. I always do my best to make people feel comfortable when talking to me.

Focused
If I have a task to do, I will stay focused all the way through, until it is completed. Every Wednesday, I help teachers at an elementary school for three hours, because I get out of school early on Wednesdays. I help with many different projects, however most of my time is spent either copying papers or helping teachers move things around the classroom. Because I have a limited amount of time to help, I always stay focused on the task that I am currently working on, so that I can help the teachers as much as possible within the three hours that I have. This an important quality for a moderator, because there will most likely be more than one time when I have to work for an extended amount of time on a project, and stay focused.

Organized
I am a very organized person. In my life, organization is very important. I find it much easier to find things that I am looking for if I organize everything by category, so that I don't have to remember the exact place that I put everything. This helps me in real life, especially in school, but it is also a huge help when I am programming or organizing digital files. This trait will help me as a moderator so that I can easily find things that I need such as files that are relevant to a report, or a list of who I have punished, and for what reason.

Patient
I am a very patient person. If I have to explain a rule to someone ten times before they finally understand it, I will do it. I have had experience dealing with small children, which requires a lot of patience because they do not always listen the first time, and they sometimes need to be told multiple times for them to remember what they are not supposed to do. I also served in my church's altar for three years. This required a lot of patience because for most of the service, I stood in one spot until it was time to do something such as open the curtains or prepare the bread and wine. I had to pay close attention to what was going on so that I could do everything at the correct time.

Reliable
I consider myself very reliable. If I make a promise to someone, or agree to do something, I will always try my best to follow through with what I said. It doesn't matter how long it takes, if I agreed to do something, I always put less important things aside until I finish what I was asked to do.



How long can you be active on the server everyday?
Weekdays: 1-3 hours, usually between 6:00pm and 9:00pm. There may be a few days however that I am not able to get online because of golf practice. Golf practice usually ends between 6:00pm and 7:00pm, so it all depends on how much homework I have.

Weekends: 3-7 hours. The time that I am able to spend on weekends depends on how many service projects I am doing that week for NHS and if they are on weekends or weekdays.

Holidays and Summer: 3-9 hours. During holidays and summer break, I am usually able to play at least three hours per day.


How long have you been playing Skyblock?
I have been playing skyblock since 2013 when a friend showed me this server, although I stopped playing for about 6 months in 2014.


Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game)
No, I have never been banned in-game or on the forums.


Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
I do not have any experience moderating in minecraft, although I have been the "moderator" of many groups throughout my life. I have organized many group projects in school and made sure that everyone did their part and that it was finished on time. I helped keep everyone on track and managed the organizational aspects of the team when building a rocket with a group of classmates at school that ended up qualifying for the national Team America Rocketry Challenge, and I used to help watch over kids at my old church during the service so that the adults didn't have to worry about them. I mainly just made sure that they didn't get into fights or go into the church and bug the adults.

When I help I do it a lot of the time by private messaging the person, although I do agree that I should try to talk in chat more because I don't talk a whole lot unless I am helping someone. I will also try to start getting more involved in chat, the forums, and the other platforms.

It is a bit strange that you rate the thread support but say neutral

 

I do that on other applications cause when I am neutral leaning to support I just give a rate supporting
