Sooo.... Today it was bothering me when people would call someone a minimod. I understand that they are pretty annoying, but in reality they are extremely useful and beneficial. Today I was online when no mods were on, it was pure chaos. They aren't trying to be a mod, they are simply trying to help out. Leeeroieee said it great;

I understand what people mean when they say a minimod is annoying. Personally, I like to see people 'minimodding'. It proves to show that the community can be a place where new players are treated with respect and are helped by multiple people, moderator rank or not. Anyhow, I was a pretty big minimod before I was promoted, and look where I am now!
Minimod threads are created everyday jesus christ. It's annoying when the player tries to be a mod, its not annoying when they simply answer a question
People will always give someone crap for something. What I like to do is think... If I am going to put my effort into helping only to be called a mini mod by people who don't help then does their opinion really matter? Is it constructive feedback? If not then it isn't worth your time. And for the most part just reassure anyone who feels bad for being one. Its never going to stop completely but you can ignore it. I kinda laugh at how much of a minimod I was but I made it this far so I don't think that name really hurts
I just find it annoying when people say things like "@(name) don't curse!!!" in public chat, albeit I did this myself a few years back. I've since learned it's much more effective to PM the player when they need help or if they've done something wrong, if your true intent is to benefit the server, at least.

It's only annoying when you make it annoying. Just let people help or minimod if they want. Remember there is a command called /ignore.
Tbh I don't really care about mini modding I do it myself it just shows how nice of a community skyblock is

A lot of people get upset because of 'minimods' apparently if you don't have the rank you can't help people? I don't think so. A lot of moderators have been online, yet still, minimods have had to correct something that may have just slipped out the corner of the moderators eye. All we're trying to do is help.

I'm always a minimod I enjoy helping out people and I understand that it can get annoying. I would love to be a mod but I just don't have the time to be one. I've never been called out for being "annoying" but I've seen it happen.
In my opinion, minimods are ok to have. Its great when they help others and try to monitor the chat, but the issue is that they cant do anything against people breaking the rules. And in most cases, the minimod thinks that everyone is inferior to them, which is completely wrong.
tbh it doesnt bother me that much ..i mean it could be helpful if a mod isnt around but it is ok unless they dont do it too much
