Ok, I've seen threads lately detailing what cyp meant. Kudos to the people that were nice enough to take the time and make it blunt to the people who didn't care to read everything cyp said. But that isn't entirely the point in my thread here. The most common problem we are having on forums is ignorance, and misunderstanding. If you don't want to look like an a**, here is a pro-tip: Read everything before you make a comment. No seriously, it turns out that if you take the time to read something, you have an easier time understanding it. Hence why I brought up cyp's "fresh skyblock" example. People freaked out thinking that net was going to be killed, because they failed to read the whole thing. So I have some stereotypes of people that I see on here: The read the title only then comment guy this is the person that will just read the title of a thread and make a comment on it. This is why pranking people like this with click bait is fun. Like I said, read before making a comment, it saves you from looking stupid. The read half of it, then comment guy This person is the kind of person that will either just skim, or read only half of the post and then comment. The most common area that this happens is in mod applications. We see moderator applications, and the first thing we do is comment based on what we know of the person (which is good). However we fail to actually read the mod application itself. Maybe there is something in that mod application that we didn't know. The best way to judge a mod applicant is by judging the application itself, and the person. the biased b-hole this is the kind of person that, at times, looks the dumbest when they comment. They review and comment with complete and total bias either for, or against the person who made the post. I personally know some, but I won't mention names. For example: Person A hates Person B. when Person B makes a post, Person A responds in bias, or tries to flame the thread. the Biased b-hole will fail to read the thread, just because they have bias against the person who posted it. Pro-tip if you hate people: Don't read their posts or comments, unless you can be unbiased. this ends my rant.
A lot of tbh threads are like this^^^ No wonder many of us (including mine) get unnecessary no support ratings because people don't read all of it THEN make their decision.
This isn't just a problem with skyblock, it's a problem with all people. (Here's a fun article for you 6 in 10 of you will share this link without reading it, a new, depressing study says - The Washington Post) Alternatively, I recall a news article being released with a fake title, and a ton of people retweeted/facebooked/however social media works the article. It spread a lot. Ironically, the article was about how people only read the title of articles and never actually read it. Whoever wrote that article is my hero. xD
