The title of this thread fails to prove its point. Just because your minechat app has issues doesn't mean that skyblock is unplayable. You can't play with minechat period, it is used for talking. If skyblock is unplayable, load screenshot proof from the game itself, not the minechat app.
This thread wasn't meant to ben only for minechat, but for all the broken aspects of Skyblock (AKA the lag, the block glitching, duping glitch, bla bla bla)
Sometimes servers have their problems. That doesn't mean they are unplayable. There have been a few times when my realm had a few bugs that I had to fix. Things happen. The only time you can call skyblock unplayable is when it is impossible to get on and play the game. Even at that, it may just be a temporary problem that cyp is fixing. You have to consider these things. Cyp also mentioned making a new survival. New updates like that may require downtime in order to add it. I doubt Cyp is wanting skyblock to be unplayable. It is best of you consider everything before jumping to conclusions and making posts like this.
Sometimes you are unable to connect to Skyblock via Minechat Lite. Try purchasing the full version of it.
