Bring back warp PVP!

I think Warp PVP should be brought back.
I know we have Ma J, but it gets boring when it's the only thing to do other than expanding your island.
Don't get me wrong, I know skyblock is skyblock, but I feel like a lot of new players come in wanting to do something, not just sit around and generate some cobblestone.
Anyway, that's just a little idea.

I was never actually able to use god, so I didn't know about it. Was this why it was removed?

 

No, some skygod would say stuff like "whoever can kill the iron golem at /warp pvp gets a diamond!" then they'd disguse as one and use god mode and kill everyone. I know that when we died in the pvp arena, we kept our items but it was still unfair.

 

Neutral. There were a lot of hackers and a lot of people got mad about it.

 

I'd support. Me being an old Hellblock player where we actually had /warp pvp, this was some good stuff to do.

Plus, watching Xel duel KingPooperton was the best thing I'd seen in so long.

Yes, of course. I recall seeing messages like these. I did do things like that, but I played fairly, and gave out a fair share of diamonds. c:

 

Neutral. There are and were too many hackers.

 

No support. There were hackers, but by being a Skyblock server, staff weren't allowed to moderate that area, leaving it a little out of control. It was a lovely arena, just not really practical for the type of server Skyblock is.

Ma J is a better mini game for Skyblock, as you are also guaranteed some sort of reward after you finish your round, which benefits newer players.

Of course I understand your point, but not many players go on Ma J at a time.
When it was newer it got more players, and it's harder to do when there are only two players at a time. c:

Support. Yes, there can be hackers, but I don't think this should lower the chances of getting the /warp PVP back again. Hackers will be hackers, and they will find any advantage to make the game unfair, but I don't see how adding this back again will increase the hackers on this server. I say lets bring it back again, but have changes done to it, so the amount of hackers will reduce. Maybe take away god mode in the PVP arena?

in regards to the god issue, is there a possibility of making /god only work in some areas? i ask because i know that would most likely mean a lot more coding of plugins than there already is, and im unsure how complicated that is. otherwise im pretty neutral on this, hackers are a given to crop up at some point, yet id love to see something like this on the server.

 

Yep, the god glitch was an issue, but as warp pvp was someplace fun to hang out in, I think it would be good to be brought back!

 

Cypriot removed it because after a few days/weeks, there were barely any people there. I mean it would still be nice to have even if it is unpopular at some times, but only if the glitch is fixed.
