I just check the front page of forums, and it said this: Skyblock.net - Online 39/1000 Skyblock.org - Online 3/300 I have to tell you, I honestly freaked out. Because its one of the first times I've realized that the .net server only has 30 players on it (39 to be exact) and the org server has 3. Back in 2014-2015 the .net server would get an average from 100-300 players daily and org would get around 50 - 70. As 2016 popped up, the player count dramatically dropped on both servers. I've been thinking loads about a restart, but to me that would make the problem worse, and we can fix it many other ways. Please list what you think we can suggest as a server, other then a restart to help the player count go up, and make the server a better place. Ideas:
Just go with the flow. Lets not restart anything and lets not try to add TOO much either. Let the server be and let people come and go. its just the way it is
what if I told you that I know a server just about as old as skyblock, and still to this day holds a playerbase of 10k+?
Holy! You don't say!? I have no clue what server that would be?! My God you blew my mind. Thanks for informing me of a bigger server that has a 10,000 playerbase!
At the end of the day, no one knows. It is debated a restart would cause players to quit, whilst others argue more would join due to decreased lag. It's a subject that's very much debated, that's the reason a restart won't happen. Realistically. there's not much than can be done. Skyblock is a game mode that has faded in popularity over the years, not just this server but skyblock itself. There's nothing we can do about this. If you look at skyblock games on other servers, they top 80-100, not too much difference from this server. If you look back at the time when the server hit tops of 500 people, that's when YouTubers were making skyblock series and the game was popular because of this. Now the game mode itself is just not as loved as it once was. In my opinion, (yes I'm preparing for an overwhelming amount of disagrees here) the main 'issue' is not the server itself, but the fact that Skyblock is not a popular game mode anymore. Is it sad to say? Yeah, but there's not much we can, do sadly.
Of course you're going to deny the truth, you want to mod after all, don't you? The server isn't dying because it's old, its because of the carelessness and selfishness of the owners. I for one quit because of the realisation of their laziness and the fact that the server had become s***. That's like seeing an old man choking on the floor and leaving him saying "Oh, he's fine, he's dying of old age ".
No it's not, there is a difference between a Minecraft Server and Life. What does my opinion has to do with me trying to become a Moderator?
1. No there isn't. If you weren't so narrow-minded, you'd see how the way Cyp acts reflects the way Corporate businesses act. Too bad all you do is sit at your screen hoping as the days, months, years go by that he will accept your mod application. It's honestly all you talked about, when I used to play anyways. 2. Because you'll say anything to kiss up to Cyp and the other staff members. Every conversation, Every argument, you're always there to say some smartass comment about how the staff members are "the best!" or something along those cringey lines.
you don't catch onto what I am saying. I am saying that skyblock should bring back org, skywars, and the other things it used to have. You don't agree to input more skyblock related things? we need more than that.
30 players are online in European timezones. American people are sleeping then. I don't think we should restart or anything, just let it be .
