Change the dislike rating to a neutral rating.

To be honest, I dont get why there are negative ratings, these ratings are all based on opinions. I dont see the reason why it is a "negative" thing.

It's fine. I have like 40+ dislikes and I could care less for one of them. If people don't like getting the "negative" ratings then they should change their posting. No support.

because negative opinions are a thing. if there can be a positive influence through ratings, why not a negative? just as much as the people who deserve praise for posts, there are some who deserve hate.

there are also eight different ratings that are positive, and only 2 negative. 8:1 ratio is a sizable difference imo.

 

If you dislike one's post (lets just say its dumb) then why is there need for there to be a negative rating if its dumb.

What about if it doesn't interest you and you dislike it? What's the point of making it a negative rating if it doesn't fit your interests.

NOW..If it's because you think that post is offensive, hurts other people, or is mean, then a rude rating will come in handy.
I'm not trying to start an argument over here, but im just saying, why should the dislike rating count as a negative rating?

the word dislike means I feel distaste toward the subject matter. if i dislike it, there's a negative connotation involved. if a post is dumb, i associate it with a negative emotion. if a post is uninteresting to me, i associate it with a negative emotion. and on the other hand, not all offensive posts are rude. sexism for example is offensive, but could very easily be said in a non-rude manner. ergo the dislike.

Lmao my point here is that if you dislike something it doesn't mean it should be counted towards a negative rating. It should be a neutral rating instead. It's your opinion if the post is dumb and you consider it a negative rating towards that player.

but then by that logic like ratings are also opinions and should be neutral, and so should the winner, funny, agree, rude, etc. etc. all the neutral

 

Who cares if you get negative ratings versus neutral? In the end, there's no difference other than one is a little red number and one is a little black one. If you don't like what someone has said but don't want to give them a negative, go with a disagree, or reply to them telling them that you didn't like what they said. Not too hard.
