Change the dislike rating to a neutral rating.

I hope it makes sense to you guys. Normally if you get a dislike, it counts as a negative rating. Instead of that, it should be a a neutral rating because if you dislike something it doesn't (100%) mean you hate it, it just means you're not fond of it nor it interests you. Now, if you hate the person or topic just use the Rude rating. Not only that, but it can decrease unnecessary negative ratings that make you look bad.

 

Negative ratings should be based off rudeness, toxicity and stuff like that.
Dislike is just an opinion. The dislike opinion is used when you dislike the post, if you find the post rude, just use the rude button. I believe dislike should be neutral as it's an opinion. So what, everyone makes posts that someone won't like.

The rating plugin was designed to let users know when what they are doing is being liked or disliked for a reason. Negative ratings are important in my opinion to help users stop their negative behaviour.

 

I get your point but what if you don't like something how is it a negative rating, it's not like its against your belief and that person doesn't want that to happen. If its for saying that person is rude, their actions harm others, then a rude rating would help.

 

If you think something is rude, or not appropriate you can use the rude rating. A dislike rating is really supposed to be meant for something you don't like that doesn't please you, therefore it should be neutral.

I hope it makes sense of what I am trying to say. It's kinda hard for me to explain it, if you don't understand, I will happily assist you in explaining it as much as I can.

 

Making it neutral would put it on the same level as the disagree rating and take away the power/point from it, in my opinion.

While this is somewhat true for people who have a lot of negative ratings, it is the things you post which alter your reputation the most. I believe the rating should remain negative.

True, but if you hate it, that doesn't mean it should be counted in a negative way.

 

If it's offensive, the rude rating exists.

 

But hate is negative. It's just a negative rating.

 

I don't think we should take out a negative ratings because it hurt somebody's precious little feelings. It's there to show how you feel about a topic.

 

Yeah we shouldn't, I agree with you on that. But if you rated a dislike because either you: 1) are not interested, 2) its pointless 3) Its dumb 4) It's just asking for like ratings, dislike ratings, funny ratings, etc. It wouldn't be counted toward as a negative rating. I would be more like a neutral rating. Now, if your talking about if the person (or thread) is rude towards a player, community, shows hate, fear, jealousy, etc toward the community or a person, then yes, a Rude rating would help.

Well if you want to rate a suggestion/app neutral, it will be for a reason there

I suggest put and a neutral one, dislike is fine

 

Support, just because someone doesn't like your idea doesn't mean it has to be a bad rating lol.
