MODS MUST BE CONTACTABLE

Like Dough said, I have been disrespected so I locked my profile for a month. Some staff members want to have their things private because of disrespect, if you need a certain staff member, you can always message another staff member to get them for you, it's as easy as that.

Still no supporting, there's no point for it

 

The mods overal don't give a crap about the players, they just wanna use their powers on them. There is no point of supporting. The mods won't do it.

 

To keep it on topic, I think mods should keep their profiles open, unless it is like in Emerald's case and the mod is being harrassed.

If we ban, we are called biased. If we don't, we are told we are making excuses. You can't please everyone. There's harassment going around because of that. Tbh, I don't care which one you lock (profile or inbox) but you should keep one open for contact.

 

Mods have access to giving infractions if the player is harassing.

 

Then everyone would purposely harass mods until they lock their profile, then throw a tantrum when they can't contact them

I think they should have the choice to block PMs, but I believe that if it's only a couple of people harassing them, they should get admin's approval for ignoring a person for continual harassment–since we can't do much about it because we have to help everyone. But like Crystal said, I think they should have at least one of the two options of communication open

 

Wonder why I locked my profile and PM's. I don't want the harassment.

 

As long as one of the options is open I don't see a problem with it.

 

There could be good reasons that they won't allow PM's. If a staff member has disabled PM's, just go ask another staff member, it's not that hard. No support, but I do see where you are coming from

I have mixed feelings upon this topic. Whilst yes, it's a moderator's job to assist any player who needs help, be it through the report section, PM, or in-game. If being harassed via private message is a regular occurrence then they should have the ability to close PM. If PM is closed, their profile should ideally be left open allowing players needing help to post a message asking for the mod to message them. If the player starts harassing, the mod then has the opportunity to lock the conversation and infract the member, due to the staff member being the one to initiate the conversation.

If it's an urgent request, it's easier to use the report section - as you have more chance of staff seeing it rather than a single mod.
