Diamond that wont stack!!

Hello All,

I have recently acquired a Diamond that is not renamed or enchanted that won't stack with other diamonds. I don't have a good way to show it so msg me in game and i will show it to you.

I had that too. All you have to do is craft it into a dia block and then uncraft it and it will stack.

Step 1: Take a diamond and rename it anything in an anvil.
Step 2. Put the diamond back in the anvil and delete the name you put in
Step 3. Remove the diamond.
Step 4. You now have a diamond that won't stack with others.

Explanation: When you rename an item in an anvil it adds an NBT Tag to the item. An NBT tag is like the Sub-ID of the item, like how spawn eggs have the same ID but different sub ID's to differentiate the mobs. When you remove the name you gave the diamond, the NBT Tags remains because the anvil didn't remove the item's NBT tag, it simply removed the custom name you gave it.

It's special in the way it won't stack with other diamonds but it can be easily reproduced, so in that sense you've got yourself a diamond that's worth 1 diamond.
