There have not been any other reports that the shop was down. Did you give him your diamonds and spawner?
For the security of both sides, I strongly recommend having a moderator hold onto the items until the donation goes through completely! Is it paypal down, or buycraft? As far as I can tell, Skyblock | Welcome is alive and well
The only safe way to do a trade for a donation is to pay the items after you get the perk or rank you wanted. But even after that, there is always the risk of chargeback

When someone buys a rank, for example, default to skygod ($250), it goes through buycraft then onto the server. Chargeback is mainly paypal, possibly other platforms too. It is when the 'buyer' then decides they either don't want the rank, or they don't want to spend $250 and try keep their rank as well. A chargeback will get you banned as it is unethical to buy something, use it, then get your money back. It's also a bannable offence because it leaves the owner/s $250 short in their balance. I hope you can make sense of this.
