So, recently one of my betsest-est friends, Connortim9 became a trial mod after years of hard work. Connor is a donor400 and it seems to me like all the other mods/tMods and admins are at least skygods. This just concerned me because I am a donor 100 on .net and never thought of applying for mod until Connor asked me about it. That's when I started to think of all the requirements. I looked at the requirements and it did not say anything about being a skygod, but just to make sure if I ever was to apply as a donor 100 would I be instantly denied for not being skygod? Thank you if you happen to see this thread and help me out with it. Appreciate it!!!

No. I believe that it does not matter. A Non-Donor on Org got Moderator. (I forgot the name)

It doesn't matter on your rank, it depends on how much you help. Hope this helps :)

    You are slightly right, though.
as I've stated before applying for mod is somewhat of a popularity contest.
You need people to like you. Now it's hard getting there as a greenie because people don't even really notice you.

To answer your question, it's not a requirement but unofficially it sort of is.

It is not required to have a donor status, as this does not increase chances.
In the way I see it, if you have a donor status, you are usually more noticed, therefore making your chances higher. However there have been non-donor mods in the past.

But no, you do not have to be a donor rank to apply for moderator or become a moderator.

I know people answered your question but here, Being any donor rank or a non donor rank doesn't matter at all. Its about your personality, manners and how you treat people. You help them, treat them good and try to be trustworthy and especially nice to staff then the chances of you becoming a moderator will be high and people will start to get to know you better. And if you are bad, rude to players. Your chances of becoming a moderator will decrease and there's a chance of getting punished. People will know that you are about a person. All you have to do is make sure to have the requirements that are needed, use the correct template, add many as possible details, help players in game and in forums, be active in both forums and in game and that's all. Popularity doesn't really matter as there is one ORG mod got accepted a few days or maybe a few hours after applying and guess what? She wasn't popular, barely noticed in game, barely noticed in forums so it's not all about popularity and Donor rank. It's about who you are and what you can do to help make this server a better place for people to play in. So Don't worry about being a Donor or a non donor or a skygod or any rank. Good luck in applying though.

    Lets be all honest
How much attention to greenies get in chat??????
When I was greenie people barely saw what I said in chat...
Well cj was popular bc of his mod and skygod friends and you need a good reputation
The chance of getting mod as a greenie is 3x harder

I truly agree with that. The only thing sucks in being a greenie is not getting attention. All chat flows down down and your text goes up up and your green name is mixed with the other greenie's color names. Oh dear. But there are some people in this server that notices them but not much. That's why I wanted Donor in the first place to be honest

I've seen several non-donors become moderators over the course of the past few years. All of them turned out to be fantastic. In general, the reason most mods started out as donor is because they play the server enough to have bought donor with rares or money.

I was not a donor when I became a tmod (or fmod or smod). I just tried to be helpful on the server and was active in forum :) Cyp does not check whether or not you're a donor when he promotes mods.

CJ and plenty other moderators didn't have a rank. Just because you haven't a rank doesn't mean you cannot be apart of the team.
