What is happening to Skyblock?

Kids are growing up, thinking that they are done with this block game and the younger ones rather play GTA than Minecraft.

 

Exactly. Minecraft simply cant compete.

 

I actually believe it depends more on a person's mindset. Here I am 19, and I still play this creative game. Though growing up does have some to do with it. Some people grow up and want more action packed style games, and others like me, still want to grasp their inner creativity and play minecraft still. It just depends on how they grow up. I am a person who loves creativity, and I play creative games and play instruments. It just depends on a person's mindset when growing up.

As I said above, it depends on a persons mindset. If a person loves to be creative and artistic, they will continue playing, and Minecraft will end up trumping all other games for them.

It is true though. Kids would rather play GTA or Halo than minecraft.

this is not a "skyblock is dying" thread. it's a "what is happening to skyblock?" thread. there is a difference.

 

Yeah and what you said, the creative people will totally choose minecraft, unfortunately the ratio is about 1 creative kid to 4 gta kids

 

you can't say that's a fact. There is not a single study that proves a low ratio like that.

I believe that I am being greatly misunderstood by some people. One of whom its obvious by now, nonetheless I will try my best to clarify things. We are all human life forms who see things differently whether they be true or not. My purpose of this thread was to explain what I see and ask what others see as to what is happening to Skyblock. Unfortunately though, some people got instantly triggered by the post, and that is my fault for not explaining. Thanks to those who have came across more respectfully, I have a better picture of what is going on. As I said before, I am not one who simply conforms to one view all the time. I think that if others would have explained things without insulting that I would have been able to better understand them. I Dont by any means know everything, and I am sorry if I come across that way. I am merely a person who is concerned for our wonderful community and wishes to see our server grow. I look forward to seeing more inputs. Thank you all for your input so far.

Mate, be one of those human life forms you mention. You aren't Shakespeare and this is a simple minecraft server website.

it's still the same server, just more lag and new people. makes me feel more like dust and lint everyday, but some are kind and pleasant to be near

 

A lot of people have told me that. I guess not every server is the same. Skyblock is just unique in this way. Still, I would love to see it fly up in popularity.

I am being optimistic. I can see great untapped potential in this server.

 

The plauge has hit skyblock. We need Medics! Also we need new ideas to bring back the server to life. We can't just rely on Mods/Adimins. They do their jobs and have enough on their plate. We gotta do things too.
