BAHAHAHAH WHAT I WAS SO IMMATURE WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT anyways snapchat me @jacksonbtuck because I don't want to talk about this here
You're doing fine. I somewhat agree and disagree with Dolpin. This server does have a different vibe than small servers and thus you have to act differently. So you change according to your environment. This isn't relevant to your moderating however. I feel its more of an emotional thing. Just remember to relax once in a while. You don't need to try as hard as you do and I don't want you to burn out.
I'm kind of sad to read this, I hope you put everything into perspective and stop being stressed. You've been doing a great job in many respects; super active in posting, trying to clean threads up, etc...no one could call you inactive or say you are neglecting your job. I just at times wish all mods were kinder to players who have a different opinion to theirs and as you know, I think sometimes mods' rates can cause flame. Let me explain. Once, I was on a thread and noticed mods disliking opposing comments but also liking comments that insulted the non-supporters. It bothered me enough that I took screenshots and started rating mods' answers negatively if I didn't like them. Their comments, to clarify. I do it to make a point but I've *failed, as some of the rates were automatically removed, or I was mailed and told my rate was invalid, etc. Additionally, when a mod goes around and hands out bad spelling rates on posts that don't have anything spelled wrong or old on a person's personal view or revenge rate, it can make people feel resentful and cause other issues on a thread. Most times, nothing is done about it and mods just justify their own choices, so sometimes our rates/comments are gone and/or theirs against us, stay. Sure, as mods, you are allowed to have your views...but you should also take into account that sometimes you make situations unnecessarily worse when you express your views in personal attacks/negative or unfounded rates on opposing views/positive rates on insulting comments, etc. Mods are supposed to protect players from these sorts of things. There is a professional way to deal with these kinds of situations that will keep a thread from turning into "mods vs players" and would improve the way the mod team is viewed right now. Relax and have fun. Be kind to everyone and treat everyone and their views with respect. Even the angry players, cuz I believe anger dissipates this way or at the very least, doesn't give them new reasons to get angrier. I want the good mods to rise to the top like cream.
