random people joining forums with no experience with skyblock.

random people are joining the skyblock forums like Myraw Kelley kirkfs Anson and more. they dont even interact with people or anything. they just join then leave. are these alts or robots or bots?

 

They maybe forgot their passwords or so.

 

They are spambots

they join, and set their home page as some random website. its basically an ad that makes their website associated with ours so when people search skyblock theres a chance it might pop up

 

well thats just stupid. why would they need to do that?

Spam bots. They normally have names like that.

Not people. I'm not 100% sure how it works, but they are generated users who create threads advertising their steroids and such products. In the past you were able to see those threads, but now they are deleted by staff before they reach the public. A lot of those users (thousands?) are banned.

This has been going on for years and the situation is better than it used to be. The staff are aware of spambots.

pretty sure on mv one spambot made 10+ threads about a hair product xd
