c'mon Dew be creative, help yourself :) If you want to contact Krissy at any Price for her to help you you can make a thread in the help section and tag her. If you don't want others to see what it's about, [hide] it. It's that simple and there is no need to remove the rights for privacy of anyone ;)

This isn't about me. This is about players not being able to contact mods when needed.

Which isn't true, that was my point. Moderators can alway be contacted, PMs or profile posts are not indispensable.

I'm talking about directly contacting them. You've stated your opinion, now stop forcing it.

I'm not forcing anything, I just stated a way how anyone with a forum account can directly contact a mod or anyone else. Now tell me how your problem hasn't herewith been solved?

In certain time zones, there are almost always 1 or no mods. Then in other timezones, there's a bunch online. I really don't think you mods understand how little access to help there is on forums, even if there are mods online.

Staff need to stop saying that they are just "normal players" and should have the same abilities as "normal players."

Because you're not. If you want to be a normal player and have your privacy, resign. If you want to help players and do your job, make sure you're actually doing that.

It's not a complicated concept. You need to understand your responsibilities as a staff member.

If you're too sensitive to deal with profile posts and private messages, you should rethink moderating.

Full support, I've had so much trouble because of this. It's very unfair for players who need help.

mods need to be more helpful in general tbh

Being a mod means that your main responsibility is to help others have an enjoyable and safe time, and that should be your main concern, therefore you should most definitely do all that you can to reinforce that, rather than just doing what's best/easiest for you personally, come on mods.

yeah, I fully understand that and of course mental health comes before a game.
However, often there are no mods on, or no mods are easily acessible and the idea that every single one of our 40 mods is overwhelmed with something or in need of a break, is ridiculous.

Trust me, the mods we have are good, and better than i'd ever be. But they're never on or acessible and out of 40, you'd think that at least 1 would be able to help.

You and I know very well that 38 moderators aren't always online. Some situations can't always wait.

They shouldn't be locked at all. When you're a moderator you basically dedicate your own time into helping people. With not only having your profile locked and your inbox locked you potentially are shutting out players that really needed to ask for your help.

Honestly, I don't mean to be rude with this post but they should of known when they applied what they were signing up for. Hate is expected but it is very easy to ignore and delete the comment. Moderators applied so that they could help players but I don't see how this is possible when players can't contact them.

I'll also look at the staff team's side of this. They are trying their hardest to help people but majority of the PM's/Profile posts they get are hate. It gets very overwhelming for them so they lock their profile's for a bit. I completely agree that they should be able to do this but at the same time they should say, leave their inbox open or vice versa.

I was just providing my opinion here. I wont support or no support this; I'll stay on neutral.

If a mod really feels that way, maybe they aren't fit to be mod.

I think locking your profile as a moderator is okay, because most of the time the moderator will make you go start a convo with them so you don't spam their profile.

But disabling conversations is really dumb imo.

God, you're a mod. If you aren't willing to help a player out because you're insecure about your profile or something, either suck it up or resign. You can't be a member of the staff team and be like "eh don't feel like helping players out" one day. Even if you have reasons for the privacy settings change, no mod should really ever stop players from starting convos with you.

Thought you would have known about these variables when you decided to apply? Yes, you're a player, but you have expectations considering you represent the super mod team of a semi popular server. Wouldn't that then come with some limitations to what you can and can't do? Also, what sort of message do you think you are giving off to newbies when you won't let them pm you? Not a positive one...
