Moderators locking players out.

When moderators lock their inbox and profile it prevents players getting the help they need. It's not fair to the community. I needed help the other day and the only mod that was online was Krissy. Her inbox and profile was locked. Luckily she was in-game, but still. If she hadn't been online? Mods shouldn't have locked inboxes and profiles. If they lock their profile, they should keep their inbox open. If they lock their inbox keep their profile open. It's not fair to the community when they have to sit and wait for a mod to assist them because that mod had their things locked. Either disable the ability for mods to lock their profile and inbox or make it a rule that they can't lock it.

whats the reason? you have some beef with someone dont you?

 

the ability to lock their profile's shouldn't be taken away. but it should be pretty expected of a moderator to not lock that in the first place.

No support. Staff members are still players. They should have permission to do things like the rest if us. If many people are harassing a staff member then they should be able to block them out. Although, I don't think this should be permanent.

 

No support, sorry dew but staff are like everyone here except they have more commands, perks than a normal player, so they are allowed to have some privacy on their own.

Mods can easily ban/mute/delete all the 'harassment' they are getting from players, depending on how bad it is.

 

Your profile being locked and inbox as well prevents people from contacting you outside of in game. How are players supposed to receive the help they need? If someone is harassing you, ban them. Harassment is against the rules. You as staff should know that.

 

this isn't meant or intended to take away staff's "rights", or make them "less equal" to players. I don't see why you're making it to be about that. if you're a moderator, you just shouldn't do anything to make yourself more complicated to contact. the "report a staff" section even insists you contact the staff member first about the issue you're reporting. staff making themselves impossible to contact really interferes with that.

Could you not temporarily ignore the player? The rest of the staff not being harassed by that player can obviously monitor them, they wouldnt be getting away with anything.

 

no support. if you need to directly contact a mod just ask another to contact them for you.
