Server Update

It's been awhile now, shouldn't the server of officially updated to 1.10, and disband connection of previous updates, and so the server has 1.10 features? I'd personally love to see all the new blocks/mobs added to the server!

 

Are you suggesting this, or do you want a discussion for it? If so, ask a moderator to move it to suggestions.

The server is compatible with 1.9 + 1.10, it's just the plug-ins that Crew uses aren't in any of those versions yet. Once the creators make it so they can be used on a 1.10 server, Cypriot and Crew will most likely update it. Just because the plug-ins aren't 1.9/10 doesn't mean you can't use those versions. As for thr items and mobs, they will also have to wait. But I am looking forward to the Polar Bears!

 

Most of the plugins are up to date. Just not the custom plugins that Tanner made etc.

 

Ah, thank you for informing me. Well, we need TannerLittle to update the custom plug-ins, we're losing players for being on an outdated client.

 

Indeed. Player loss by not updating is exponential. I suggest you add that as a point in your thread about the server's state.

May i ask what plugins Tanner coded ? i code plugins for bukkit might be able to pull something out the bag

We can't update to 1.10 because Mojang blacklists any pay to win servers that are past 1.9.3. Soo essentially if you want the update, you won't be able to buy items or ranks on the shop anymore. I can't see that happening, so I doubt that the update to 1.10 will ever happen.

But apparently according to some mods this server isn't techinically PTW because all they get you is perks and there is no real end of skyblock.

So we could be sleazy with that if Mojang tries anything

 

not really, can try and phrase it all ya want but it won't change Mojang's decision.

 

mineverse has been fine since updating, skyblock will be fine after updating. the plugins are all up to date and the ones that arent (custom) have many up to date duplicates that work the same and just as well if not better. but if it was to update we would have to take away unfair perks but mineverse still has em and theyre fine. i think cyp is just unsure what to do with the perks after updating. i know that many of the players on here have tons of suggestions and feedback regarding that but its unlikely cyp will actually see it or care if he does.

 

There are no duplicates on custom plugins. New plugins people would have to learn. Mineverse is still 1.8.

 

I think 1.9 is good enough. I don't want the crappy sword thing that Mojang put

 

Well, this isn't really a pvp server, though I can see why people don't like the new pvp stuff.
