Add Discord to requirements on mod apps

    Hey!

    I suggest that we add Discord to the requirements of offline communication! List your concerns bellow.

    yes but i cant download any thing any more and you don't have to download discord to have it so rethink your discussion again or dont i just like it cuz i don't have to download it

    No support. Skyblock does not have an official discord therefore it should not be a requirement.

    It's really not as effective as the other two. Discord is actually a lot harder to use and to get than Skype anyways. Also, skype is going to have the chat feature that is pretty much discord. Discord even has a voice part. That part just doesn't make sense why you would be able to use one and not the other.

    No support. While discord is good for making chat rooms eg. A server makes a discord chat lounge and uses it to make announcements, talking about the server, off topic, etc.

    But for a mod application this is not good so...

    Yes and I am saying it should not be an option.
    It is all well and good if you have a discord but staff are not supposed to advertise theirs. So if a player wants to contact you outside of the forums how would they know unless they contacted you prior knowing your discord?

    It is the same reason things like mumble or gamevox isn't a requirement. There are no skyblock services.

    Skype is an option as most people including the admin have one. It has been the communication platform of staff for a while.

    Discord may be preferable for some users but unless Cyp decides to create an official discord it won't be an option.
