For the record, I am just a player I am not interested in creating a server. Also I am not interested in making a profit from a game I didn't create in fist place. I hope Mojang find a way to prohibit people to use his game for their own profit. Also before you ask, the reason I paid in first place was because it was the only way to get some stuff in the game, like red stone. Servers are very sneaky in limiting important resources so the only way people can get them is paying for them.
I mean, the reason why this server has become so "bad" for you is... That the staff won't let you make too much money, just because they feel like it... And surely not to try to fix an issue and make every player's gaming experience better. You are just a selfish, narrow-minded child.
The way to get them "important" resources is by grinding or doing work for people while NOT being afk
Good news for you -- EULA is being reinforced. Soon or later many pay-to-win aspects will be removed. Guess you'll e happy then...
True. Sure, you could say that in the end, Skyblock is all about farming stuff, as you start on a tiny island and have to build up an empire with little to no resources. However, it's a lot more fun to do this... Well, actually do this, not leave the computer there and come back after three hours... That's not how you should "farm" goods. It's a lot less exciting.
Cypriot or Noobcrew said something along those lines a while ago. Basically, you can play classic/standard Skyblock by simply playing alone without interacting with others. What the server offers you, is to a) interact with others [free], b) trade with others to get other items you wouldn't be able or are too lazy to obtain, and c) add even some other bonuses/extras to the game while donating [$$$]. If you don't believe in paying irl money, you can do play normal SB + a) and b). It wouldn't mean that you'd have less fun.
Someone arguing that the server has a stupid rule? Cool, a discussion that's actually interesting to defend or attack, let's get right into it. AFK - Away from Keyboard AFK is to walk away from the game for a long period of time, varying from a few minutes to days or weeks (depending on how long the server is up). Most player's on skyblock have performed this action (if you haven't, well too late now!). That being said, AFK is mostly used by players with automated machines creating materials for the player without the player needing to lift a finger. All he/she has to do is sit there and watch the materials come to them. These materials are then put into either the island itself or shops to make tons of money (and by tons I mean tonnes, ha metric jokes). So, what's wrong with AFK you say? Inflation. The more players that use AFK machines, the more money down the drain for the server. You see, donors (which I'll talk about donors in a moment) typically have it easy. They have donor kits which they paid for and can farm materials to use for auto machines. Those auto machines make a ton of resources which they can turn into cash from poorer players looking to buy resources for cheap. Since the donors have so many resources, the value of those items decreases and the pirce people are wiling to buy those resources decreases as well. Thus, the start of the economy dying begins with donors. Yes, those people who bought donor ranks expecting to get it easy in fact ruined the economy they sought to be kings over. In theory, yes they are kings of the economy, but they also ruined it with inflation. Now to be fair, non-donors also are kings of the economy, its just they worked harder for their money. So, to say its unfair for a rule to be set against AFK'ing is completely stupid. First off, like I said donors have it easy. They have the kits, the commands, the resources above the non-donors. To take away a tradition for donors and non-donors is more than fair for those who don't have auto machines, AFK pools, large islands, etc. Its in fact balanced the economy a bit. The amount of time players have to put into the server is increased since you can't stand there forever waiting for the resources in your storage to rise, you actually have to do something. Wow, interact with the server you play on? that's just outright criminal isn't it?! No, its not. For once the people of the server have to talk to each other to pass time, for once they have to perform a action on the server, and for once they don't have the option of skipping the server's work time entirely and go straight to AFK'ing. Next, you're saying that donors are being used to suck all the money out of the donor's wallets then make rules of things they don't like. Well, if you wanted to be specific, Donor stands for, "Donating" thus, you are donating to the server to keep it running. For one to receive something besides the server uptime is a thing to cherish. So, to claim that this is unfair for you to be taken away a action that's not relating to donors at all is in fact unfair. Its unfair to blame the owner's decision to save the economy in which the donors are destroying by using their gifts given to them by the owners. You as a player decided to donate not only your time but your money into the server, for what? For gifts that you probably shouldn't have. All you want in the server is to be king over it, to have all the money and resources in the game, not to cherish the moments with your friends and play the server the right way. In a sense, Donation perks have corrupted players into a way of thinking that if they donate they can be kings of the game and be top dog with the money they spent. Newsflash, its Cypriot and Noob's server, they can do whatever they want. You donated to keep the server up, not to demand rules to be exist or not exist.
