Just re-considered my opinion. I personally think under 10 diamonds would be fair, according the the valid information you guys have provided I'm just amazed how they used to sell for 3 diamonds...

You have the option to buy it for $5 IRL in bushcraft I believe, althought it is not close to worth it, like Ep frames, the price will never go above it
They are at this price due to terrible people hoarding multiple stacks of them and not reselling them. How dare they! #irony
Yeah, it's not that Spawner are rare and all, it's just people don't wanna sell em. I guess that's why they are going higher in price. I fall victim to this, I remember having 30 spawners at one point, then bought a beacon... ;2
You dont get it do you... Only way to have new spawners coming from the sky would be buycraft or maybe cyp. But cyps kinda impossible so lets look at buycraft, aside from kit spawner, then you have the $5 option. If all the spawners got glitched and disappeared. Prices will then go up to $5. (At this point of time, even if u give 1000 diamonds, you cant get one spawner)
The reason spawner prices went up was a combination of a couple of things. One reason completely stupid and the other logical. Now the stupid reason was people assumed a bunch of spawners were destroyed and thus they are "rarer" and harder to get so the price should go up. Now given that people do not realise most of those spawners returned I think it is fair to say whoever originally used this reason was incorrect. The logical reason is essentially spawners are now more wanted now that net has a reason to have them; trade shops. And the more demand, the more people will raise the prices so they can profit and benefit from people who are desperately trying to buy them. Yes this could tie in with people taking advantage of those who hoard spawners which make less people sell them so people will offer higher prices. In any case I find the greed of players extremely off putting when trading so I rarely trade on net anymore.
