Happyguy requested a review of this application. GodDestroyer seems like a nice person, but he really needs to put some time into explaining all of the qualities he lists on the application. There is some good material there but he never follows up on it. The whole thing felt like it was typed one-handed while eating a sandwich.

 

Sad that you didn't get to review mine.

Nice-sounding player, seems like she could be very articulate. Needs to spend time explaining why they are a good candidate, extremely light on details and explanations. Definitely had some heart towards the end of the application. Best of luck in the future.

 

I don't think what you're doing is very nice tbh. Maybe you think it's funny.. But for some people it probably isn't.

 

Sorry you think so, sir. Can you link me to some application reviews you have written? I would like to see an example of how to provide better feedback.

 

I don't write reviews, because I don't feel like spending time on a paragraph that could ruin someone's day.

 

How about the opposite? You could write a review pointing out everything they are doing well. I have a list of people requesting I take a look at and write commentary on their applications, would you like to help someone with their post?

Next on my list is TomTomikos Application, he is looking for feedback. I would be highly interested in seeing what suggestions you could make. tomtomiko (tom) would you mind if Valixta posted a few comments?

Only if you had the time, of course. I wouldn't pressure you into something you don't want to do-- reviews take some serious time and effort.

 

I know nothing about this community so anything I say would probably be deemed dumb.

 

I'm sure it is the intent to help people that counts, sir. The applicants generally like any attention you can give them and if you can help their writing in any way they will probably appreciate it. I have only run into one person to ever lodge a complaint about their review (Dewmellon) and they apologized afterward.

Also you may want to read this post when you have a moment.

 

I half want to make a moderator application just so you could blow it up.

As for Valixta, this would be a double sided victory for the reason that we both benefit from it. Valixta will gain experience & I will gain knowledge of my cons and pros. Definitely agree with what you proposed. Looking forward to the feedback you will exert.

That was a well written application with some very interesting takes on common themes. Especially liked where they were going with "helping" and how assisting others doesn't need to be publicly visible in order to count.

Also: Correct use of "grieved" instead of "griefed". First time I have seen that in almost a hundred application reviews.

I was expecting more from you, Valixta. You have a very strong opinion of my reviews for someone who doesn't write, knows nothing about the community and refuses to help improve applications.

Hopefully you change your mind in the future, I am sure some Moderator applications could use your thoughts on how to improve.
