Welcome to my application, I thank you for taking time and consideration into reading this and I hope you enjoy.

Let me tell you a bit about myself,

I am 14 years old. I have been on the server for about 3 or 4 years and fell in love with skyblock ever since I joined. I consider myself to be the athletic type and very friendly and considerate.

    Your in-game name:
    jamo7777 (Nick: James)

    Which timezone are you in?
    Australian Eastern Time Zone (UTC+10:00)

    Which languages do you speak?
I speak English but currently learning Spanish in school.
Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?)
Yes, incorrectly banned due to chargeback issues.
Why do you think you should be a mod?
I think I should be a mod for a couple of reasons. I have past experience with the server and have a vast knowledge of the server's history and economy. I think I should be a mod also because of some specific aspects within my personality. These are Maturity, Kindness, Time Zone, Honesty, Enthusiasm, RRP & Professionalism. Here are my reasons.

    Maturity
Maturity is needed in a moderator, otherwise they could become overwhelmed with power and abuse the responsibility one must hold. Maturity would make me a great mod because someone who either abuses, or offends another player is not worthy of being a staff member.

    Empathy
Someone who puts themselves in other people's shoes is someone who can really understand someone else's opinion. You need empathy to really understand what the victim is going through, or even the offender. Empathy would make me a good mod as some moderators tend to deal with issues without fully understanding the dilemma and could make a wrong decision, creating an even bigger issue.

    Time Zone
My time zone is very good as most staff members are USA/European. Players in similar timezones or people online at a peculiar time tend not to be patrolled and could have the opportunity to cause an incident.

    Honesty
Honesty is the cornerstone for being a mod. Moderators need to be honest otherwise punishments could be placed upon someone incorrectly. Being bias or not punishing someone because of personal relations should not be tolerated. If someone breaks the rules, they should be punished.

    Enthusiasm
Enthusiasm is a big part in being a great staff member. Someone who doesn't like their job or position in any work area doesn't really deserve it. Especially in being a server moderator, if they are not enjoying what they are doing they will not be as helpful or care as much. I am very enthusiastic whenever responsibilities are passed on to me because it shows that person trusts me and I admire that aspect.

    RRP
RRP stands for Responsibility, Respect & Personal Best. I am very responsible as I am mature and trustworthy. I respect others regardless of what position they hold. I always try my hardest under circumstances to achieve my best while at the same time allowing and encouraging others to do the same.

    Professionalism
Professionalism is something every staff member needs. This depends on the person's maturity and honesty. I am very professional and always keep my job seperate from personal or family issues.

    Works Well Under Pressure
My ability to work under pressure makes me stand out as a candidate for a moderator position. I know I work well under pressure even when I am responding to and helping multiple people at once. This is very relevant and important at the moment as staff have rarely been and therefore there is not multiple at a time.

How long can you be active on the server every day?

    Monday Forums 1-2Hours, In-game 0-3Hours
    Tuesday Forums 1-3Hours, In-game 1-2Hours
    Wednesday Forums 1-3Hours, In-game 1-2Hours
    Thursday Forums 1-3Hours, In-game 0-2Hours
    Friday Forums 1-2Hours In-game 3-9Hours
    Saturday Forums 1-4Hours In-game 6-12Hours
    Sunday Forums 1-4Hours In-game 6-12Hours

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?

I have been moderator on 3 servers. Other staff ranks I have upheld include, helper, admin, and owner. Overall, I believe I have had a lot of experience and have succeeded in being a role model. I juggled a couple of these at once and therefore resigned from them due to activity. I no longer play them and only play on skyblock.

Thanks for your time and consideration to read my application. Please give any advice on how I can make it better! I love reading your comments!
    -James

This is a nice start. You shouldn't include what rank you have, however, because it is excess information.
"Welcome to my application, I thank you for taking time and consideration into reading this and I hope you enjoy.

Let me tell you a bit about myself

I am 14 years old. I have had the rank "Skygod" on the server for about 4 years and fell in love with sky block ever since I joined. I consider myself to be the athletic type and very friendly and considerate. "

First off, you should add a period after "Let me tell you a bit about myself" part.

"Let me tell you a bit about myself."
"have had the rank "Skygod" on the server for about 4 years and" <-- Unnecessary.
Good luck, check over some of your grammar mistakes, and work on being a bit more active in-game. That's all!

Considering your timezone, you'd be a great candidate. The only thing I would work on if I were you is that you should be helping a little more in-game, and on forums. Work on that and you'll be fine. Good luck

    Suggested listening: Weezer, El Scorcho

Children's books are absolutely insane. We are reading "Dance Dance Underpants" and I am expecting a horrific adult theme at any moment. I'm not sure what life goals this book is suggesting but I hope she doesn't grow up wanting to dance in her underwear.

    Anyways, on to the application.

This is definitely the highlight of my evening. Thank you for the opportunity sir.

A few forum accounts...? Issues of age and playtime aside I'm rather interested in why you have multiple accounts. Why not just stick with your original? If you don't like the name I think you can change it(?).

Nice to meet you, James Jamo. Your name pretty much screams "superhero secret identity".

Massive +1 for getting this question right. Most applications stumble into a pit of broken glass and acid right about this point. Well done.

+1 for multiple languages. I am actually a little curious: Do you have a large Spanish-speaking population in Australia? I can't recall that ever coming up before, but then again I have never looked, either.

...? I honestly have no idea what this is. Good luck with that, sir?

More excited than a tween at a Bieber concert. This is the part I love to read, let's get into the milk and shake it.

This is a rather good opening outline. You start with broad characterizations, then tailor the question down to your individual strengths. +1 for a clear vision, nicely done.

Pick your ice cream flavor. This paragraph is nicely worded but a little bit helter-skelter. Is "maturity" a benchmark between child/adult? Or perhaps maturity is related to your grammar? Maybe this is about how large your vocabulary is...? You are all over the place here.

Choose a quality and stick with it. I'd recommend that last one: "Maturity would make me a great Mod because..." -- Stay with this idea and make your trait about why you are a good pick because of your maturity.

Okay, first with the good (#1): You are structuring your responses very well. You have a good "header, supporting statement, example" theme going on here that is a delight to read. Most applications are a rambling, disjointed mess of whatever crosses the author's mind at the time. You have a goal and you're writing towards it.

The good (#2): Your closing example is perfect. Moderators' attitudes and professionalism reflect hugely on the server as a whole. You nailed that.

Now the bad (#1): Stop playing yourself down. I noticed this in your "Maturity" section when you said "this is something I believe I have". You are doing it again here with "I see myself as a very kind person". If you are going to list a quality then own it, Jam-O: Don't go all limp with saying you believe you have the trait. You do have it and dare anyone to say otherwise. Writing your qualities this way looks weak.

The bad (#2): This paragraph has nothing to do with kindness. You are describing empathy (putting yourself in another's shoes), patience (taking time to listen) and duty (actually do something about it). These are facets of the job, you don't need to be kind to succeed at any of them.

I am riding the fence harder than a little kid pretending to be a cowboy. That was an excellent way to politely suggest your time zone needs more "administrative attention". +1 for this; don't change a thing. Nicely done sir.

I read this four times. I... think I might see what you are trying to say here: Something about how honesty is the cornerstone for Moderator behavior. But that is more in the realm of "Ethical Behavior": Moderators must behave ethically according to established rules and guidelines in order to keep the trust of players.

Suggesting a rewrite: You jump too abruptly between thoughts, Jam-O. Right around "too much trouble... or not enough" you lost me quicker than a pyromaniac in a fireworks factory.

+1 for this section. I cannot remember anyone else listing "enthusiasm" before and giving a good reason about why that would make them good for the job. Check the red highlighted portion and read it out loud: You're missing part of the sentence and it sounds a little awkward.

I enjoyed this more than pineapple pizza. Vast approval. I've added some suggested edits with strike-through text and red highlights.

Unless you do something awful below here, I'll be supporting this application from this point on.

While you're struggling a bit trying to articulate some topics you have definitely hit on the qualities it takes to be a manager: Maturity, ethics and professionalism.

Check your phrasing on the "succeed at your job" portion, Jam-O. It sounds a bit odd. Succeed--be promoted--or just keep...?

You came in like a hurricane and ended in disaster. That first line was beautiful, it grabbed attention and had me interested. Unfortunately your supporting second line lost focus and wandered into some odd territory.

If you swap sentences this might work a bit better. Go directly from "I work well under pressure" into something like "even when juggling helping multiple people at once".

This is a great trait and well thought out. Keep it, just articulate a bit better.

    Achievement unlocked: Pet peeve activation.

Do you disqualify yourself in your own job application: "This is not completely correct, honest[ly] I can not be on too much" made me growl hard enough to scare the neighbor's dog.

We all have scheduling issues and problems. Occasionally you won't be available; that's the benefit of a volunteer position. Being realistic with your schedule is fine but please don't try so hard to point out your own flaws. Let the guy doing the hiring decide if your schedule fits the need.

That is an incredible amount of experience in the six years Minecraft has been around, you have basically traded jobs/servers every five months. Can you give a little insight on why you've quit all those other positions and decided to stay with SkyBlock...?

You're quite welcome, sir. That was an extremely good set of traits. Best of luck with your application.

Thank you so much Myrmidous, I admire your work and thank you so much for giving your opinion.

Okay, thanks. I'll definitely work on that.

Okay, thanks for the heads up. When I help greenies, I tend to help them out a lot in private message.
