Vote party offline participation

I think you should be able to take part at the vote Party no matter if you are online or not. I am voting every day but can't get much online.

I think this would also relieve the Server a bit, as participation at the vote Partys IMHO might be one of the main reason for AFK-wells. At least I have built my well solely for that purpose. If I have to do something else I type /vp and if I think the votes remaining could drop to Zero while I am AFK I take a bath

The only Problem I see is with People who are away from the Server for a longer time. They would get back with an inventory full of grass an voter crates. Two possible Solutions:

1. Condition participation to VP to the act of voting within the last X days
2. Exclude from VP Player that haven't been online for X time

Open for discussion, but I think this is quite consistent.

 

My take on this is that the Vote Party is only applicable to those online for it for the reason of Economical Impact. As you've said, people who leave the server for prolonged periods of time would be coming back to an inventory full of Voter Crate Keys and Grass Blocks. I don't see a reason to change that as it means more work for the programmer or developer to adjust the command and et cetera. I'll go neutral for this suggestion

 

I believe the sole reason of Vote Parties is to reward players who have been actively participating on the server, these Vote Parties are in order to further entice people to log on and stay on longer, thus helping the economy.

 

"Big" is relative. To some People a few grass is a fortune to spend. Non-donors are the huge majority, most of them have never hold a Diamond in their Hands.

How are you active if you are online but AFK, just in order to be there for VP? This is surely not helping the economy. You can only be online the spare time you have left of your day, VP won't make this time longer. If you can't be online for VP, as of today, you stay onlins AFK, using up server resources that are obviously coming quite short these days.

So this is not helping the Server in any way, as far as I can see.

 

Often times many players do use their "AFK pools" in order to gain their VP rewards, but honestly the amount of people who do that isn't very high from my understanding. And those people are presumably only worried about "Getting Rich" in the game and not about the community.

Vote Parties aren't something that Cyp is compelled to give you, it's a privilege of being online and active.

Yes I know some people aren't necessarily active, but for the most part, I usually am.
There's a thread somewhere stating that the average yield from a full day of VPs is somewhere around 8 grass and 10 keys or something. In my personal opinion it's not worth leaving your player on your island to AFK for that whole time.

 

No support, I feel as if you should be online to get them. On the other hand the parties seem to happen around the same time each day, and due to timezones, schedules, etc. not everyone may be able to make the party even if they are an active player.

Please try not to view this from the standpoint of a donor. Grass doesn't grow on trees to the vast majority of players.

 

Absolutely no support, whats the point? You've already voted and gotten keys/grass. If you can't get on at a certain time that isn't our fault. Vote parties happen about every 5 hours so even if you're in a random timezone you still can get on.

I'm on max 1-2 hours a day at fix times, where there is no VP most of the times. It's a vote party. I vote every day yet don't get to party with you .

As for the usefullness of 1 or 2 pityful blocks of grass:

I just got donor recently, I've been playing Skyblock on and off since 2013. I completely understand the viewpoint of a non donor.

I was a greenie for about half my time on this server (one and a half years keep in mind) and although I was a greenie, I still didn't value grass as much. I was a decently good greenie though, I bought 3 spawners (back when 1 dia=64 grass and 3 dia=1 spawner). If you're that desperate for grass try trading.

 

No Support. This forces people who want money to actually be active and be proactive. Imagine if you weren't active for a year and this was implemented.

No Support. Lets say someone hasn't logged on for 4-5 months and then the second they come on, they'd automatically be rich with grass and keys. The vote party is a reward for players who have been on and waiting for the party and voting for it.
