Does ANYONE know ANY way to stop spam-bots being able to come in? We have the "Moderation Approval" thing.
I think something like "You need 5 messages to set a location or change personal details" would help. It'd stop them from changing their location or signature to their website they're advertising.

Then again, nobody really stalks new people.

I have gotten over 120 spambots banned in the last month. That would be 1440 spambots in a year if this happened all the time.

If there was a way to fully stop spam-bots then mods/staff would of already done it. The approval of the first forums post is a huge decrease in the production of threads and what not.

They really aren't as much of an issue as they used to be. Frankly it gives mods something to on the forums if they are bored. It's what I usually did.

All we can do for now, is just to report them.
I normally click the "report" button on their profile.

It is not much of a problem. Staff usually ban them/ delete the thread before most players see it.

You can get Tac Anti-Spam from the Surrey forums which also use XenForo; it completely eliminates them.

Happens all the time pretty much everywhere, there are ways to lessen it, but it'll continue to occur. Not a big deal imo most get banned within minutes.
