Here, I'll help:

- Technically, with Mojang's EULA, the donor ranks are actually illegal. By selling nicknames as a standalone, we can have some sort of fallback if Mojang comes after us.

- Some people may want the ability to change their nick without spending a billion dollars.

- Doing this would take a perk away, however, we can either adjust prices of the other ranks or use this opportunity to add more fun things.
