I've saw KitKat got banned for "extreme harrasment" which was a message on Skype, which got me wondering (along with other cases). Are moderators allowed to ban you in-game for stuff on other applications or forums? Do moderators even have the legal right to view it without both sides approving?

Just depends on the situation. You cannot ban for things that are not forums or in-game related, but not to be rude, it's not any of your business as to what she was banned for. She was un-banned once it was noted it was a mistake.

Anything that happens off of Skyblock, we cannot use as evidence.

    From a previous report:
I hope this clears any confusion up.

Tbh, anything that's off of skyblock, has nothing to do with skyblock.

In my opinion. I agree with Talia. Everything off of Skyblock, is just extra drama. Drama that could be easily dealt by taking action yourself.

Stop trying to start flamewars and make a moderator report or put it in the question sections of forums if you legitimately want to know.

mods are not supposed to ban anyone for what happens on Skype or other mediums not relating to skyblock. All main evidence against someone must be from a skyblock related medium.
In rare occasions the severity of the situation meant Skype evidence has been taken into consideration. Otherwise it isn't.

True.. Absolutely can no one get banned for something outside of forums, ingame, and on teamspeak to some extent. Anyways, the main reason is that you can't prove its not someone making the stuff up.

Skype logs can not and will not be able to be used as proof/reasonable punishment. Skype is Skype, not Skyblock.

IMHO what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Otherwise you'll have things like "please ban my sister she stole my manga Comic". But since the mods are Chosen on maturity and accomodate with the context of a report, I believe this discussion is useless.

It is alright to have concerns about certain aspects of how situations are handled when a moderator does something questionable as player may believe that a rule has changed or they need to be careful not to do something or be banned.
Since a couple of incidents have arisen where skype/kik evidence has been used to punish players there is right to be worried. However if this happens the evidence can be questioned.

Thank you OP for pointing this out.
Was a confusion that i wanted to clear also. As when i was scrolling tru the appeals, i saw ppl reporting/banned for skype/other platforms disrespect.

Imo, the mods need to close and shut this loophole by making every single mod know the way to act on this cases.

It should not be a 'case by case' basis. If thats not vaild evidence, its just not.

Very rude to think that. I don't want to start a flame war.
