I feel like you have many qualities of a moderator. You are super friendly, kind, and overall a great person. I don't know you too well, but every time I see you, you greet me with a warm Hello. I always see you helping in chat, helping out others and answering them with the best of your ability. You don't let others get to your head, and you stand up for your beliefs. Having a strong personality is a wonderful trait, and I applaud you for that.

I feel like you know the server well, but it would be nice if you looked around the forums a bit more. Explore the different sections. Moderating in not only on the server, but also on the forums as well.

Fun, I've been looking around and being more active on the forums in hopes of becoming an active member. I've looked at the Ban Appeals and Archives and so fourth. I'll be sure to look more.

For future info, if cyp was reviewing this mod app and he decided to look into it farther, he will see that he has had a ban under than name and won't promote him for lying. He made the right decision and put the ban up there to prevent future problems. You can't be overly honest.

 

Oh and full support, but I haven't seen you too much in chat. Your app is great and you seem like a helpful person in other people's eyes that I trust

Thank you Wade. I've been really discouraged about this mod thing for the past few weeks, so this made things a little better.

I don't know, it was just taking so long for anybody to give feedback. So I figured it was over for me. It's been a few weeks since anybody's said anything on this thread.

This is not a time zone, Weatherman Dan. "Eastern time" can mean Australian Eastern Time, Russian Eastern Time, etc. Did you mean to put "Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5)?

Good story, but unnecessary. Why call out Moderator mistakes in your application to be a Mod? Shorten this to "No, never purposefully banned." Or not--this section doesn't hurt much by itself.

I'm fairly sure the .Net moderator template does not ask for this section, but it can't hurt to look.

More stunned than an intruder in the White House. Nicely stated. Remove the strike through portion and this paragraph is almost perfect enough to qualify as an aphorism, ma'am. The sentence jammed right in the middle of your paragraph is completely erroneous and unhelpful.

Speaking of helpful...

Stop kicking buildings off islands. Not nice. You may need to reword that sentence slightly and adjust your verb choices.

This section has more issues than a hypochondriac in a Hepatitis ward. Details:

• You've combined two different traits into one paragraph.
• There is a random example jammed into this section. I have added strike through on it. Please remove.
• You have confused "compassion" with "impartiality" in the first part of this paragraph.

Explanation: Putting your own issues aside so they do not affect your judgment is called "impartiality". Put this in a separate header if you want to claim it as a trait ma'am. Additionally, if/when you do gain Moderator you may need to grow a "thick skin" very rapidly. Being overly compassionate will decimate your ability to effectively apply punishments to some of these exception-pleading psychopathic players.

Get in a time machine, travel back five days and facepalm yourself, ma'am.​

Do not start a qualification by disqualifying yourself immediately. "Responsible: I can't say I'm responsible" nearly made me laugh until my heart exploded. Either remove this portion, rewrite it so the text doesn't contradict itself or ignore me completely because my opinion is worthless. Your call.

Ms. Harrison:

"Honesty" is one of those things in life that the more you tell people you have it, the less they believe you. Everyone here already assumed you were pretty truthful already. Going to great lengths to describe exactly how honest you are has the opposite affect.

Additionally you explicitly state you were a massive liar in your past. This immediately makes absolutely everyone and their pet donkey wonder if you're lying... about lying.

Lastly, and I promise not to mention this again: STOP putting down qualifications and then immediately disqualifying yourself. "Honesty is the foundation to everything. When I was younger I would constantly lie": This gave me a stroke and now I'm unable to use the left side of my body.

Remove this entire section, it isn't needed. We assume you're honest already. Or ignore me entirely: I write these reviews to listen to the wind blowing through the empty place where my brain used to be.

I APOLOGIZE SO MUCH. I've been calling you ma'am all the way through this post, sir. Extremely sorry.

Remove this section, you are repeating your "compassionate" qualification from above using different synonyms and examples. Combine these two portions, remove one or the other, or toss both out like a bag of unwanted puppies.

This is not a "Moderator" qualification. Normal players can "encourage" others just fine. You even went out of your way to detail a 3 sentence example of exactly how to do so. You're a good person for helping others in this way but it doesn't require access to the /ban command to talk people out of quitting.

Rewrite this section to highlight why a Moderator would need to encourage people in a way that a normal player cannot. If you're having difficulty giving reasons then consider cutting this "trait" altogether sir.

Merciless adherence to rules and vicious, unbiased application of punishments is the guideline for Moderators. "Kind & Sweet" is a good thing to have but utterly unnecessary.

Literally did not read past "Sensitive". Remove this portion: A "sensitive" Moderator is a walking piranha buffet for some of these problem players. They'll whine and plead special conditions until you feel so bad for them you forget they are lying little cheese weasels.

Get your "Management Face" on and prepare for a landslide of excuses and justifications. Then deny them all and follow your rule guidelines.

STOP DISQUALIFYING YOURS- Okay, I promised I wouldn't say it a third time. But you know what I'm thinking, i.e. "Forgiving: I have anger issues".

Leave "forgiveness" to Jesus, Moderators are here to keep law & order. The moment you start giving slack to players is when they start abusing your generous side, sir.

STOP DISQUALI- Sigh, nevermind. Fourth time. Suggest rewrite to stop contradicting yourself, sir.

FIFTH TIME you've started a "trait" by immediately telling everyone the opposite is true. And yes I know I promised to stop pointing it out. I'm a liar now and it is all Km's fault. ARGH.

Reword ALL of these sections so you're not telling everyone the exact opposite of what you intend, sir. I'm starting to feel like you're reverse-trolling anyone that takes a moment to consider your application.

"Maturity" is another of those traits that the more you talk about it the less everyone believes you. This is something you simply demonstrate: Often just reading your application or seeing how you reply to critiques tells us exactly where you are, maturity-wise.

Consider removing this section or rewriting sir.

Are you some sort of masochist forum poster, sir? Why is this here? It isn't a qualification and you're actively telling people you won't be good at the job. You have some crippling confidence issues, you may want to remove this portion.

Exactly one hour, from midnight to one a.m.?! Please elaborate, those are some wicked playtimes. Is this after your parents go to bed or something? Honestly those hours may improve your application chances; absolutely no-one is on at 1am, wow.

Any IRL experience? Led a dance recital? Organized a poetry competition? Captain of the debate team...? Absolutely anything where you manage large groups of people would probably help, sir. Just a suggestion.
