It's not that it's hard to do /realname. The problem is that if it's short like that, people will nick abuse and just wait for the cooldown to end before posting anything.

Support, but I guess it is possible that the abuser waits til the limit is up and then posts, and after posting changes their name back. They would have to be really mean to do this but you never know. I don't know if having a restriction where your nick has to have like 2-3 letters from your username in it is good.... Doing that might restrict changing your name to a totally different one, but I've come across some mods who say if your nick doesn't resemble your username, it's nick abuse.

Eh, I see too many nick abusers. I will support. Though, I do think that a 10 minute cooldown will do. The only problem is, is that everytime the cooldown is over, the nick abusers will change their name, so the same person will have a different name every 10 minutes. Hopefully Cyp will look at this soon..

Yes, but it won't be every 10 seconds, it at least puts a delay on it and we can /realname them and warn them about nick abuse

So you mean something like how the chat filter warns you about spamming when you put in the same sentence too many times. Again, you can have the delay for 10 minutes until they can even put the command in.

It doesn't really solve much :S Only serves to complicate things. Also makes it harder for skygods to test their colors.

To test the colours, you do /ping (whatever you want to test). There is no cooldown on that C:

Yeah, I realized that when I tried that. Though, /pong (blah blah) works.
