from personal experience, i can tell you, lag doesnt make you fly for that long, maybe 1 or 2 seconds tops, the fly trigger checks in on you after at least 30. just saying, therefore if you were banned for flying, i support whoever banned you
Not 30. Around 3 seconds. I asked a guy to use nodus flying in front of me a couple times to see how it works and it banned him around 3 - 4 seconds after starting to use it. I unbanned him of course.

Well, it could have been a console ban, but those are usually 6 hour temp bans. This person seems to have been banned for much longer. Also, temp bans cannot be signed.
