This may sound like a potentially stupid question, but where do you get your stock to restock your shops? I am curious to know as I am opening a shop real soon.
Lots of farms I can imagine. Other items from kits and crates. There is also the re-sale market, buy from other people's shops who are selling at a low price, and sell at your shop for a bit higher.
Island farm if you want infinite amount of buckets, obsidian and sand but highly unrecommendable and can get you banned unfortunately D: (souly did it but i think he's getting banned anytime soon now) You can just make farms. At least thats what I did when i had a shop years ago
I get my items from voting, collecting kits, buying and reselling cheap deals, and selling some left overs scattered around my island.
Yeah, I'm an economy shop owner but essentially the concept is similiar, nether items nether, stone, cobble, ores etc from a generator, farmed items seem obvious, logs also.... obvious, the less(er) common items like vote-leg keys, grass, diamonds etc, a mix of kits, crates and buying from players
