I find Bandicam a little easier to figure out than OBS but they're both good software for recording. Free bandicam leaves a watermark, not too sure about OBS.

The StreamLab x OBS hybrid is my overall favorite free recording and streaming software. It's like OBS, with a cleaner UI and way more features.

I don't record as much, as I use my phone mainly for recording a lot of things. But I've heard lots of good things about Bandicam. Obs is good for streaming too! :)

bandicam will always make your videos look horrible because of the water mark.
    obs is good.
if you have an nvidia graphics card shadowplay is best.

Is it free? Does it have a watermark or time recording limit (for ex: bandicam stops after 10 mins)?

It's free if you have a compatible Nvidia card and has no watermark and no limit but is prone to forgetting microphone/audio and other preference settings when the program auto updates
