SERVER: .net I just read something on how a 10x10x10 room was best for a spawner, the only thing I don't understand is... you can't center a spawner in a 10x10x10 room... It would need to be odd integers, like 11x11x11 in order to center the spawner... Unless I just missed something simple... Any thoughts? Any supporting websites to read? Thanks!
The spawner doesn't really NEED to be centered in the room, especially if you plan on having multiple spawners in the same room...but if you must, a 9x9x9 would work fine. You could even go down to only 6 blocks in height if need be.
Mmm.. I'm sure you could get it to work like that, however I am trying to run it a maximum efficiency.
In vanilla spawner can only spawn a mob in a 8x8x3 cube centered around the spawner block. So 4 blocks to the left, spawner block, and 4 to the right would be 9 blocks in total, so a 9x9x9 would be running at the maximum efficiency that a spawner can run at. Here's the wiki page on it Monster Spawner – Minecraft Wiki
Not based solely on the comment, also on my own experiences I find that amount works best. But, I'm no expert, so use what you wish. Just know that 9x9x9 is my recommendation.
