*- Using Imgur images in your posts & signature -* Inspired by this thread

Step 1; upload your image to Imgur, click the three dots at the top right of the image and select the second option, Get Share Links

Step 2; Select the third option, BBCode (Forums) and copy the link.

Step 4; On your forum post or signature, in the editor select the image tool.
    upload_2019-12-19_16-30-46.png

IMPORTANT Step 5; Paste in your link and remove the [ img ] and [ /img ] tags before and after the URL, so your end result looks similar to the following:

    upload_2019-12-19_16-30-9.png

Step 5; Click insert and there you go, an Imgur image in your post/signature.

The reason you need to copy this particular URL, and not just the URL in the address bar is because the URL in the address bar just links to a page on the website that allows you to view the image and discuss it etc. This URL links directly to the image. You know a URL links directly to an image when it ends in .png, .jpg, .gif or other image formats.

I hope this tutorial helped :)

Hopefully this will be useful to somebody, as personally I don't use imgur.

I have an Imgur account I made a few years ago purely for embedding photos on the forums :p

You can use any photo hosting site, Imgur is just the most popular

You may also find it helpful to use a URL shortener like bit.ly if the image URL is making you exceed the signature character limit. This is especially true for Premium users, as they can have two images in their signature.
