Urge for discovery? List of unlocked islands.

So I'm a bit tired of building / trading and want to see other's islands.

There is the command /list to see the players online. But names do not always match the island name and these are only the online players.

So, as I now know there is no such command, I'd suggest to create a command that lists up all unlocked islands.

I know many players like to litterally spam /visit IGN to look at others islands because I had visitors very early when I wasn't advertising my island in chat. So I know there are many pioneers and adventurers who might be interested in such a command

 

There is not, unfortunately. So, as you requested, I'll move it to suggestions, but you should rephrase the "suggestion."

Support! However, I can see a possible issue with this. Many people have their islands unlocked to let their friends, who are not in a coop, visit when they please. I, too, have my alt's island unlocked as I store my items there whilst I work on my current island under my main account.

Some people may not be as welcoming to visitors as others.

Maybe have a way to add your unlocked island to the list? Like instead of a list of all unlocked islands, a list of islands people don't mind you visiting since they aren't for just storage.

 

And if they are just storage, what's the problem? I mean, there will be a huge bunch of ugly islands that are unlocked. If all there is is just a huge building full of chests, you type /visit next island.

I visited a few island where I had to hit /home quickly because my eyes were bleeding

And if you unlock only for your friends, there still will be strangers who will find the island and visit it (those who, like me, type /list and then go through the list with /visit). As long as you have no armor stands or items frames lying around, you're safe

Yeah, if it is possible, it would probably work better since you don't have random islands but ones people want to to see

 

The point is, if this command was input there would be a lot more visiting of islands taking place, as more people would not only be aware of it, but it lists all those viewable/ unlocked. Currently, as far as I'm aware, not that many people are randomly visiting others.

Another issue you would have is the islands which have not been touched in a while. All those players who joined the server, played for 10 minutes and left; never to join again. Those islands will also be unlocked, so you'll have pages of these islands listed.

 

THIS is actually a major argument. Thank you. I don't want to imagine how many of those islands exist. This means that the only way my suggestion could work is as fun suggested. By actually choosing to have your island on the list.

Why only online? I mean, if an Island is unlocked, you can Access it when the owner is offline anyway. The only way to prevent this is to lock the Island Prior to logging off. Which is something some Player do already.
