So for my shop I need wool so I made like 16 sheep pens and I have started filling them up with the spawn mob command. I was told that to stop them merging I needed to leash them to fences. I left the area and came back and even though I had leashes them, they merged into a sheep x6 and all the leads had disappeared. How am I meant to farm wool if this happens? Any help wouldn’t be great if I’m doing something wrong
I mean, if you are planning to shear them, then this shouldn't be a problem. When you shear them, sheeps merge into two groups, the ones with wool and the ones who've been sheared.
In my experience, the mobs merge when they are within 6 blocks of each other. And the leads seem to disappear over time (i dunno if it's from clear lag or when the server restarts or when the chunks unload). For best results, keep the sheep farther away from each other. And sheep of different colors will not merge together.
