These notifications would go something like "[player username] is visiting your island" and "[player username] is leaving your island". This could be a setting that can be disabled or enabled.
    LMK what you guys think!
EDIT: staff members should be able to choose if they send notifications to make it easier to catch scammers/cheaters/hackers.

Seems, nice although you could just do /near . However, I can't fully support this because a lot of people will probably end up turning this function off from being overloaded with messages. (You'd maybe surprised to see how many people just go to a random person's island out of boredom)

I do support it! However, it may cause spam if players repeated do /home and /visit. Maybe a command to check the visitor logs? That would sound nice  Anyone has opposing ideas?
    Cheers!

while the spam is a possible issue, users could avoid this by turning off the setting. Thanks for the support.

I would've put a neutral until I read your suggestion for turning it off or on anytime you want so I'll give a support.

I'm definitely a fan of this. I have a visit plugin I made myself for my survival world I play with friends that includes visit notifications, and a toggle to turn it on or off.

Getting the notifications themselves is very easy and straightforward, adding the toggle would be the only resource intensive part, as we'd have to add a new row in player tables in the database to hold player notification preferences.

I like this idea however I am concerned this may make moderator's jobs a bit harder to do when we investigate players, i.e for fly hacking or illegal trading. I have no doubt that if they see a staff member has visited their island (or teleported to them) they will most likely stop what they are doing. If we can get it so that notifications are completely disabled for staff visiting anyone, then I'd like to see this!

Would be good to see who's visiting my shop! :D

Also maybe something like /visitors list to see who has visited you recently would be cool.

no support unless it can be turned off. I have a large amount of visitors to my shop and i get enough spam from the chests.

support, makes since. sometimes you don't really want people at your island, well you can do /l, but sometimes you could help the customer or something when they visit.

Support! As long as it can be toggleable (like in your original statement). It would be very beneficial to know when someone is actively on your island. However, a fix for the meantime would be /near. Maybe there could be a command such as /visits <name> to view the analytics of your island visits?
