not everyone is moving. once lee and matt are finished with this new server, lee said he will be working hard on the old one to keep it alive.

Then they would have to build the warps by themselves if everyone didn't know, and there wouldn't be that competition. The competition gives a bigger sense of inclusion.

Kudos to you for doing all of this, but I still don't necessarily think that all this work is completely necessary. It's awesome that the server will be very well put together, but from a consumer's view I never felt that it wasn't in the first place. The longer this project is extended, the more the population falls off every single day. Since the announcement of the new server, the player base has rapidly declined, many of these players moved on to somewhere else and most likely will never come back. When it's announced that a new server is to be released, that new server needs to be up and ready in days, because if you're a player and you hear that all your progress is going to be lost, why continue making progress at all? I honestly think that a revamped server is way overdue, and before the player base drops even more something needs to be put out there. I personally gave up at about month three, because I figured nothing ever will come out, or they just simply don't care anymore. From someone who has owned multiple Skyblock servers, some more successful than others, I could tell you that the current Skyblock.net could be put together in 2 weeks tops, unless you're doing something crazy and never seen before, but it doesn't quite sound like that. I've been here since 2012, and I don't want to see this server die, so please, don't let it. Finish this soon, just get something out there.

look at JustMatt's Post. They are legit starting from scratch. They have no choice but to recode everything to make everything smoother.

 

I can't wait until the time arrives where it will be released to the public.

The day it comes, I will just check bugs, and try to see if there are any unfair advantages. The server will be based on 1.12, and there are quite a few possible glitches that are unknown. As for now, I want to wish you good luck. I will try my best to tell you any glitches I discover and make sure skyblock is fair.

It doesn't take 2 weeks to make a server this large. The reason it might be taking longer than you imagine is because they are coding their own plugins. They also are making sure everything is working properly and doing tests.

You wouldn't want to release an unfinished server that has a chance of letting players get an unfair advantage.

They also have to manage plugins and edit the configuration file so they don't conflict with other plugins. It is hard to manage a server and release it. Give them some time, and judge after the work is done.

 

Crim has been there done that. I'm sure he knows a lot more than you think he does about making servers.
