Minecraft 1.13

Version 1.13 is comming to Minecraft with a lot of new things:
- New Water Physics (Items float, stairs slabs and other blocks get water inside them correctly)
- Turtle
- Fish (Cod, Salmon and Pufferfish)
- New Potions
- Trident (could be a rare?)
- New Ocean Biomes
- Sea Grass
- Kelp
- Coral Blocks
- Drowned Mob
- New Enchantments for the Trident
- Dolphins
- Prismarine stairs and slabs
- Every wood variant trapdoor, button, and pressure plates.
- Buttons can now be placed in the floor with any rotation you want!
- Soul sand and Magma Blocks create bubbles!
- Blue Ice
- Turtle Eggs
- Stripped Logs, perfect for building!
- Mushroom Blocks are now obtainable!

I think that when this version comes it should be added to SkyBlock, imagine all of those new things we can build, those new amazing decoration blocks, having aquariums, lakes, oceans or rivers with fish and sea grass everywhere, Making trident elevators, Doing faster farms using the blue ice and much more!

I hope you read all of this, tell me what you think and if it should be added to SkyBlock!

 

You would have to wait for the plugins to update to the latest version and I think lee would have to spend lots of time on the custom plugins.

 

Sure it would be nice to have it on the server but as James said. Once a new version is released we should get the plugins updated to the latest versions otherwise it'll be messy.

 

I really hate this update. Minecraft doesn’t need turtles (seriously though). Microsoft is adding stuff that is really dumb. I liked it better before all these odd blocks. Old Minecraft. The best version. It’s getting too complex with all this new stuff. And you can actually wear a turtle shell on your head as armor (yeah, cause that makes sense Microsoft.) I started playing back when Minecraft when 1.5.2 was released (or something like that, I played pocket edition, so I don’t know, but it was during that time or so) and the game was at its peak. Then a couple version later, notch sold Minecraft. Then Microsoft bought it. Oh and guess what? PVP is dumb now (why is there a cool down, just why?) and if you like it... I have questions.

All of this is just making me start to hate Minecraft. I wish everything would just go back to normal

 

Your opinion is good, but let me clarify: Minecraft is not from Microsoft. Minecraft is from Mojang, and this is not "stupid" stuff, Minecraft is good, and they're making it better adding so much new building materials, and playability, you only like 1.8 because of the old pvp where you are good at, but 1.8 pvp was bad / experimental, and was fixed in 1.9 the COMBAT UPDATE.

It would take time, yes, but when that time passes, it will really be a nice addition to SkyBlock, imagine all those blocks, having aquariums, making ships look good (stairs and slabs get water physics), it will be amazing

Hmm agreed. Ive been here like since 1.5/1.6 and I remember how much it has changed. Like many new blocks, mobs, items, mechanics and yet more. Even if some stuff became worse like pvp I am still happy about all the new mobs (the passive ones mostly) and new blocks that we can use to build different and new things.

It is unlikely for compatibility for 1.13 to be added as metadata is being removed and anything relying on it will not work for 1.13. Also, block IDs are changing so it will be very hard / near impossible to make sure it will work

-I will literally quit if this update gets added, along with others.
-Skyblock will lose a lot of players.
-The idea is just stupid. What are these idiots gonna add next? You must be standing still to hit something?
-I already lag enough as it is. I am not trying to have to clean my hard drive again.

Why will you "quit"? Because of lag? Lag is not the update, it is your computer, the server and the server hosting.
Stop with the sarcasm and bad language.
Skyblock will not lose players, actually new ones will come, since 1.13 is amazing.

minecraft is a joke, updating the server is useless.

 

Why is “I prefer 1.8” an option haha? The server is 1.12.2 I thought.

Anyway, no support, I believe Lee said it’s impossible to implement . Not that the server really needs the new update anyhow.
