So yeah, I am Nooby or NoobyGaming and some of you maybe know me already. Anyways, back in the glory days of classic, I was deeply into the rares economy and basically knew all of the prices. Today it became rather harder to get some estimates because Forums are pretty much dead and ingame may take some time. That's when I decided to start a list (probably on excel) listing all existing rares and their current value (estimated through sales and knowledge of players buying and selling them) to: a.) have a complete list of existing rares and b.) a source to look into when you want to buy and sell rares. I'm now asking myself some things: 1.) Would this be interesting for the players? (I mean, I will constantly try to update it and count in some semi rares and valuables such as Diamonds, Spawners, Iron and so on) and will it be useful? 2.) Should I continue with not only rares but all Items tradeable on the server and do you guys think thats even possible to do alone? (And if not, would there be people willing to help me with it?) 3.) Are some people here interested in helping me? Such as providing me with sales info and sich stuff and on the other hand providing me screenshots to show of what the items is and how it looks like. Anyways, thanks for reading and happy Skyblocking! Peace, Nooby. Gesendet von meinem POCOPHONE F1 mit Tapatalk
Juicy haha. Thanks! I will contact you as soon as I start! Gesendet von meinem POCOPHONE F1 mit Tapatalk
Are you talking about classic rares? Because I’m the only active player who knows the prices of them.
I try to start with /skyblock and slowly after that classic and economy too! Gesendet von meinem POCOPHONE F1 mit Tapatalk
I would like to say something. This is more geared towards the "Rares" side of things. This is not a slam, but merely my, personally observations of this topic, in the past. Since this is not in "Off-Topic" I am assuming you are serious about this. I will do this, by answering your questions: 1.) Would this be interesting for the players? (I mean, I will constantly try to update it and count in some semi rares and valuables such as Diamonds, Spawners, Iron and so on) and will it be useful? Firstly, I want to say that the idea is definitely interesting. I think players are often wondering what the rare they have, is worth. As far as being "useful," I would strongly advise against doing this. Rares and their prices are always in flux, and the price will never stay the same. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. When people start having a list of what things are worth, players will start to put their faith in it. Not that you would be giving false information (that is not what I mean, at all), but more that when someone wants to know how much a pink Noobcrew head is worth(for example), it will encourage players to say something like "Nooby's excel says it's 5 DCs(this is merely an example, and not based in anything)." This kind of thing has been done in the past, and was a big issue, as players would place all their faith in someone else's pricing. It ultimately died out, as players got sick of being told what an item was worth. 2.) Should I continue with not only rares but all Items tradeable on the server and do you guys think thats even possible to do alone? (And if not, would there be people willing to help me with it?) Same as with the last question, the concept is interesting, however, it would not be possible to have a list of prices, as items are always fluctuating, and sometimes (quite literally) change on a daily basis. When it comes down to it, the idea is interesting. However, an item is really only worth what someone is willing to pay. While I understand your list would be a base-line, and not a "hard-and-fast" pricing guide, it would cause far too much confusion among players. You can certainly do this for yourself, I have just seen in the past, that public lists such as these, do not go over well. Thank-you for taking the time to read my stance on the subject. -
I do not have time to read all of that. You cannot make a list of prices of rares as they fluctuate, putting an actual number on all rares will cause inflation as now no one will sell things for a low price.
I believe there is already a few lists but most of them are out of date, wouldn't hurt to have a fresh one...
