I realize I've been using full bright for a while now and ever since i built multiple plat forms on my island, it sure is dark.

Knowing not everyone has a mod menu, with or without fullbright, i think it should be an option for island settings.

What is fullbright: It makes all shadows disappear.

    Pros:
Its not awkwardly dark on islands with multiple platforms
    Better FPS

    Cons: No shadows

I personally use jigsaw 1.8.8 and I use Fulbright on there it isn’t much a difference it’s minecraft itself and if you want to make your island bright you need to use light sources like sea lanterns glowstone beacons and nether portals yes it would be a good option but then it removes the effect of light sources

You can just change your gamma so I don’t think this is essential. Neutral

But then there would be no use for light sources... skyblock is still a survival based game type so we can't just keep adding things to make skyblock easier. I'm going to say no support for this one.

There are some hacked cilents and you can edit your gamma in the game files into a higher number than 100.

I'm not sure if what you said is possible, but maybe there just be a setting to set a certain time of the day or night on your island.

Neutral, would be nice but i don't think its really necessary, since u can just get mods.

You could also make it a donor perk

Basically not really needed because people can just used a client that has fullbright.

I don't think this is necessary because if people want it that bad, they can just use their own client.

If you include a message in your /setwelcome or /setmotd, explaining that your island is best viewed with fullbright enabled that should be sufficient. I just don't feel that this option would be fully used and could be forgotten about by many.

    Isn't fullbright a client-side mod?

    doesn't have to be

however in this case it'd be easiest to use the night vision effect with no particles

No support. People already use clients to have full brightness.

Thank you so much for taking the time to make a suggestion!

Unfortunately, your suggestion has been declined.

Full-bright and other aspects of graphics rendering are client-side functions, and we cannot control it from the server.

While it would be possible to give people visiting an island the Night Vision status effect, brightness and contrast settings should be left to the preference of each player. Players may use a client-side mod such as FullBright if they choose to do so. But having it forced on them whenever they visit an island does not seem like something that would improve the gameplay experience.

This thread has been moved to the Suggestions Archive. If you are dissatisfied with this action, please report this post, and a moderator or administrator will reconsider it.

    Kind regards.
