Skyblock should add a datapack or make it themselfs that makes it so ones a person has not moved for 5 minutes get a faded name while pressing tab. You can see an example of this on the hermitcraft server and i think it would be a very cool new feature to skyblock. if skyblock developers aren't into making this themselfs there are datapacks that do it for you. Please keep this in mind it would be an awesome feature!
Not a bad idea, I can see how this can be useful in many situations support. But also what about the people that don’t fit on the tab when the server gets full
Actually proper afk detection is not that easy. There will be a lot of peeps that are afk mining and will show up as not afk and still get messaged/ what ever EDIT: maby a command like /afk can tell every1 that u wont respond to anything that would be clear
The server doesn't get full very often, right? I can't be sure I live in England, so time zones... If the server did get full though I guess there would be a problem... maybe the smart devs could figure out with this plan lol. I really don't think it would cause any lag at all but maybe I'm wrong. It just didn't seem like it would be something that would cause server lag. yeah maybe... I'm no server expert or anything but I believe you can add data packs to servers and there a data pack that detects afk for you! (=
They removed /afk as people spammed (I believe). But if the /afk was introduced where it wasn't like the Mod one (where it announces in chat) and instead we just get the notification "This user is AFK and may not respond to your message" when /msg-ing them is something I'd support.
Support, I like this idea. Either something where after 5-10 minutes of not moving it automatically pings back the "this user is AFK" message to anyone trying to contact (but without announcing the player is AFK in chat), or the addition of the faded name in tab would be good.
No matter - gravedigging is allowed on suggestions. Anyhow support. There is TrauPho's skyblock mod, which has /tafk, and this automatically replies to someone when you get a /msg saying that you're afk. This probably won't be introduced for this reason, but there are a lot of vanilla/semi-vanilla players on here that don't like modded minecraft.
