Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have an issue connecting to the server.

I've played on this server for a while in the past but I thought I would join again after about 2 months or so without playing (lots of varsity work).

I started playing about 3 hours ago from work (quiet day lol) for about an hour and I had to go home cause it was the end of my shift.

I get home and do some stuff, then about 20 mins ago, I wanted to play and got this message:
"You have been kicked for You seem to be using a VPN or Proxy!"

I won't be going there until next weekend cause its a part time job and I only work on weekends.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this? My Minecraft user name is "Frosty_Zombie".

Do u play using a laptop that u play on in your work place and ur home? because the ip changes due to different internet and the server thinks u r using vpn that changes ur ip. Im not 100% sure about this.

I was playing on my work desktop, now I'm on my home desktop so I understand that my IP has changed but it was unintentional.
I work about 20km (approximately 12.5 miles) and waited about 2.5 hours before playing so I honestly didn't think it would matter.

The plugin works by detecting specific ips within a range which are proxies/vpns.
Unless you are using one I'm not sure why it would kick you.

Cool. Thanks for your input everyone.

I'll wait until next weekend and see if I can connect from work again using that same IP, else I assume we would have to get a server moderator to remove my username from the "proxy user list" then I can just always play from home to avoid this problem.

    Turn off your VPN/Proxy.

I wish it was that simple but I'm not using a VPN/proxy as explained above. I just tried to play on 2 different computers in different locations (about 20 km or 12.5 miles apart) at different times of the day.

Hi all, I tried to connect again after all bans and kicks were reset but I still couldn't connect.
I had to drop by the office today and I just tried to connect and I got in. I'm here right now.

Does this mean I can only ever play from here now or what?

I don't know how the plugin decides what is a VPN and what isn't, but you shouldn't be able to not play! I recommend calling your ISP and seeing if they can change your IP for you.

you can change your ip by unplugging and replugging in your router and modem. if this doesnt help, then you might have a vpn, proxy, or something that you dont know about. i know windows firewall has something like that. ive noticed alot of times peoples ips only trace to microsoft hq so i can see where that might have somrthing to do with it

I have turned of my VPN many times, and it still does this sometimes. It could just be a problem with the plug-in thinking you still have your VPN on, or maybe something to do with your VPN.

If you have a router? try routerlogin.net (check back of router) and type in the username and password on back of you router. And goto Advanced tab - setup-internet setup-and check if everything is from ISP. if not, try changing the DNS server to 4.4.4.4 and 4.4.4.8 (Google (R) DNS Server) Hope this guide helps. -Made by EDISON TECH

I normally play at my house, but when I went to my father's work, I was kicked for using a VPN when I was not.

That's debatable. For example, FitMC will not crash a server that blocks VPN/Proxys

he's probably seen that we have it. slim chance of him coming back.

Plus at some locations you'd need to use a VPN to connect here
