Hello I believe off topic messages should be included in message count as people take their valuable time to contribute something to the forums even if it is stupid. We are already not allowed to double post/post farm so I don't really see the issue? It's still something someone decided to write for the community to view. Worthwhile or not. Currently, it promotes us to not bother using forums and talk elsewhere if we don't even get a point bump for posting in off-topic. I don't think forums games should be included for obvious reasons. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! I THINK ALL MESSAGES ARE VALUABLE BITS OF INFORMATION!
I think that this is a good idea, as it's not like we spam the off topic section anyway? Forum games not having a message count would still be possible, so yeah support !
Support!! Games shouldn't be included, agreed. Why can't hellos/goodbyes/random inputs count? Thats most of what I do lol
only supporting 4 u i have mixed feelings though.. this would significantly increase the amount of members' post count which i'm down for but would require a lot of changed restrictions such as double/triple posting in off-topic, forum games cooldown, and the purpose of the off-topic forum is to allow members to talk about whatever they want without actually caring about posting rules. however, this would allow members to easily gain access to ratings rather than having to wait on threads they can relate to, and would give some more purpose of the off-topic section + seeing the support number on the thread makes it seem like people want this. support 4 dev support 4 queen support 4 me because my post count will skyrocket...
If appeals and closing thread messages from staff can count, then non-game off topic messages can count.
I don't think they should add to the post count as they don't really add any information towards the server and alot of it is spam. I do think that staffs ban reports, thread closes and merges should also not count towards post count because that highly inflates there count without adding positive information towards the server.
