Inactive I cant send chat messages

So i logged on with my second account and for some reason i cant send messages or commands. it just says "cannot send chat message" in red. and i checked my chat settings and i have chat shown, and i reloaded many times but nothing works..... help

 

Maybe it's a problem with the launcher? Close Minecraft and open it up again. Hope this helps.

 

If there is no chance that you received a mute, then I would guess that this is a lag issue, what server are you on? If you are on classic, this issue is especially prominent.

 

Check chat settings if that helps. Make sure everything that should be enabled is actually enabled.

This happened to a player called Larrythebird... they fixed it by connecting to the server through a different proxy (connect to Skywars.com and type /skyblock). I can't remember exactly why this was happening, but as a temporary fix, connect to Skywars.com and type /skyblock or /economy to play.
