Closed how does mapart work?

if i had a mapart island, and i made something, mapped it, and then rebuilt the mapart, would the map stay the same? and could i copy the map, even if the existing map terrain no longer exists?

if these things don't exist, they really should be added. making maparts would be so much easier

 

once you open a map with lets say a picture of a dog, you cannot bring that map back to your mapart island. Maparts will only update if the ID is brought back to the island. You can copy the map regardless of anything.

 

so, you can make infinite maparts, all with the same island?

 

Yes. You put the mapart in a crafting table with a blank map beside it.
You need to find some people who make mapart and ask them about schematica and whatever other advice they can give you.
All I know is you need to buy an island expansion and that you need to keep the mapart island locked!

 

You will need another island to display or sell the map art from though.

maparts are fun just never bring the original one back to the island u made it or else it will corrupt it
