HoppersV3 The Fix for Hoppers

So I spent like 15 minutes cruising around on curse, and I found a hopper public hopper plugin that isn't perfect, but it will stop duping and only cause a minor inconvenience when building.

That's the plugin, and basically all it does is control where hoppers can put/take items. It can do chests droppers and all that, but the only thing that we care about is it's ability to not deposit items into other hoppers. Disable that, and hoppers can't be used for duplication anymore, so they can be re-enabled. This plugin was optimized for 1.7.9, but it's really not that complicated at all, so I imagine it will work with 1.8, and if not Tanner could probably modify it or something to work with the version we are on. That's about it. Not really much else to say. Cyp said he was looking for the solution, and here's the solution.

We all want hoppers back, Drogo include, and you have done great work in creating these threads and finding a fix for them, but adding 'ffs' to the end isn't going to encourage anyone to act quickly in this.

 

More just expressing my frustration today. I was in a TS with Cyp earlier, and several people brought up this fix for hoppers to him, and linked it in the chat several times (I wasn't able to talk), and he literally paid no attention to it and just brushed it off. I was actually so pissed off because I've been trying to get this crap fixed for like 2 months now and he didn't even seem to care.

 

I wouldn't mind it

 

It's not as simple as applying a generic pre-coded fix. You have to remember that Skyblock exists from a time where everything was custom coded for Skyblock, and that not all plugins interact well together. Many have unforeseen consequences, and require massive testing before they can be released into the public. The last thing you want is to have to Rollback the server due to a bug/glitch, or worse yet, reset the server.

 

We need hoppers no matter what

 

^ agree. It just needs time to be properly tested and developed, however.
