Hello Skyblockers! Many of you have already noticed, but the staff team have recently been busy upgrading all the old threads and sections of the forums! We have all worked hard on what we have done so far, and therefore would like to share some of our progress, seen as there have been confused comments! Ban Appeals Removal of "Teamspeak Ban Appeal format", "Tips on avoiding temporary bans", "Ban Appeal format", "Ban Appeal section rules" and "Guide to a good ban appeal" threads, due to the fact that many of the threads have been outdated for a while and were in need of a refresh, this is also because Skyblock has changed a lot since they were first made. The format was updated to include some new points that we would like players to answer, as well as removing the unnecessary points, we've also changed the colour scheme so that it is more appealing to the eye. There is also now a more detailed set of rules, as previous sets were not needed and newer ones were implemented, also adding in some tips on how to make a successful appeal. It was also decided to remove the tips on avoiding temporary bans because the thread was made by a person who was banned on the forums, gives a bad impression, doesn't it...? We removed the Teamspeak Ban Appeal format as there is no longer a server that Skyblock officially owns, instead, we have a dedicated discord server and if you have been banned there then you should appeal in the same format as the other platforms. Please check the new and updated thread here if you haven't done so! It contains lots of information all compiled into one thread to help you out. Staff Applications Removal of "Staff Application Template", "Staff Application Requirements" and "Staff Application Rules" and replaced with a much better thread made with a high amount of detail and updated information. Instead of having separate threads, a new one was made which compiled all of the above threads into one, you can find this thread by clicking here. Removal of "How to judge an applicant" due to the fact that we now use different systems to judge who would be a good candidate, it includes the rules when replying to threads, useful tips on what to say, and what to not really include in a feedback comment. Donor & Donation Issues Removal of "Donor & Donation Issues Format" and replaced with a brand new thread, we thought that it wasn't right to have a user that created the thread to be a non-staff member as it could potentially make the user feel that their details are going to an unknown user. It has since been replaced and the thread now includes a better format, some background details on why you would need to use that section, as well as a guide on how to use the 'hide' function on the forums, in order to keep all the user's information safe. Addition of "Donation FAQ" which includes all the information you would need if you were planning on buying a rank, perk, item, or if you already have one and have a problem with it. We encourage newer players to read this before making a help thread as it includes some very helpful information. You can find the FAQ here. Rules & Information Removal of old "Server Rules" thread made by an old staff member. This brand new list of rules explains in more detail what you can and cannot do on our servers, making it easier for players to understand what each term means and why it cannot be done on the game. We expect all players to read this through! Report Users Removal of "What to do if you've been scammed" and replaced with a much newer thread that covers more areas, such as if you were griefed or looted. It gives you a step-by-step guide on how you should handle the situations appropriately, ensuring in the best result possible of your problem. You may locate the thread here. Guides & "How To" Added a new sticky thread on a guide to the forums. Please see the thread here. Help In the process of archiving old threads in order to clean up the section. As these threads are brand new, please suggest to us anything that the team may have missed in our website suggestions section and we will review them and see if the points mentioned should be added, or if you would like a certain section revamped or edited. Another thing underway is the clean up of most threads in most sections, any old threads will be archived, so if you would like them reopened please report the original post and a staff member will be happy to unlock it for you.
