Introduction

Hi, my name is Falco, but I am known as FalcoFalcon, which is also my IGN. I live in the Netherlands, and I am 16 years old! I first joined the server just under 2 years ago, and while I had a few breaks I am very active and I plan to be active for a long time now. This is my first staff application. I made this because I feel it is necessary that the server has a Dutch Staff member again because of the high amount of Dutch players.

IGN

As I previously said my IGN is 'FalcoFalcon'. This is also my Discord name and my name on most other platforms, like Youtube and Twitch.

Timezone and Country

As I already said I live in the Netherlands. The timezone here is 'Central European Standard Time' or CET for short. This could also be seen as GMT+1.

Languages

In my opinion this is one of the important parts of this Staff application. I speak Dutch as a first language. I also did bilingual education for 3 years. This meant I had most of my subjects in English. I can speak English almost fluently, but there may be a few spelling errors. I can also speak, read and write German and French, although there are not many of those on the server.

I do have 2FA enabled.

Capturing Evidence

I have very easy ways to both take screenshots which are sharp and making video's which are good to look at. These programs are build into my PC, so there are no difficulties making photo's and video's.

Why should I become a staff member?

I have lots of reasons why I should become a staff member, and they are listed bellow.

Languages
As I previously stated I can speak, read and write in 4 different languages (Dutch, English, German and French). Of these Dutch is most important. While I was online yesterday there were some other Dutch people who were swearing openly in chat. I confronted them about it, but I do not have correct autority so I didn't make a difference. I wish to help protect the server from these people, and the only way that will be possible is by being a staff member.

Good listener
I am a good listener. This means I can listen to problems people have before making a judgement. I believe this is very important when being a staff member because otherwise people may not get their full story through before a judgement is made.

Good Understander
I have seen many times before, not only on this server, that people try to explain something or ask a very specific question. Some people do not fully understand what is said and so give a wrong answer or just become angry because they don't fully understand. I, most of the times try to understand every situation before giving an answer or a judgement. This is very important because otherwise actions may not be fair.

Good autority and leadership skills
I (IRL) am a leader for a group of Scouts from the age of 7-11 years old. Because of this I have become much more matture and had to take many responsibilities. I am very good at taking autority over the kids. This can be very important on the server if someone doesn't want to listen to me or any other staff member. I can take autority over the person so they finally listen to what we say.

Patient
I have had many occasions where people are either slow in answering or just slow in general. Fortunately I am very patient and can easilly wait.

Discord
This may not come as such a important factor, but I do have discord, and a working mic.

Online when other staff members are not
Almost every day I am online and there are no staff members on. There are always people asking if there is a staff member on, but there isn't. If I am on at that time I can help those people.

Information about myself!

I got some feedback to tell more about myself, so I will tell you something about myself and why I am so different from the others.

Energetic and Enthousiastic
I get this same thing a lot and I think it is very true; I am extremelly energetic. I like to always put all my effort into one thing, and that is now Skyblock.net. Because of this I am very enthousiastic about the server and I always want to improve both myself and the server.

Great multitasker
So it may seem as a very strange trait to have, but I am very good at multitasking. I can message multiple people at once, and except for sometimes sending the message to the wrong person because I uses /r, I can help multiple people at once.

Humoristic
This may not seem very usefull when applying for staff, but I am very humoristic and always try to squeeze in a joke, except if the situation is not good for it of course. I think the current staff team needs a person that isn't there only to help players, but also to put a smile on their faces. This may sometimes be the most important thing.

Learner
While I see myself as a person who always wants to be right(Which is not always good) I am very good at learning from others. This may also seem useless, but may come in handy one day!

Friendly
I am friendly. I always want to make others happy and being nice to each other is just something everyone should do! This can again make people happy.

You can trust me, hopefully!
Others always say they can rely on me. I think this is true. If I am needed I make it my top priority to be there and help them. Because of this I am always someone others can lean on when they need help.

Being Online

Now and the coming weeks I have lots of time to play on the server and be online and able to help.
This schedule is for each day, and is in my own time zone (CET)

9.00 - Wake up
10.00 - Schoolwork
12.00 - Lunch
14.00 - Online on skyblock
17.00 - Dinner
18.00- Online on skyblock
(20.30-21.30) - logging off and go to bed

I can be able to be online after 21.30 if necessary!

On the server

I have been a member on the server for more than 2 years, with 12+ days of active playtime!
I have been a member on the forums for 4 months and have more than 400 messages. I do not think my time on the forums is as important as my time on the server for I will be a staff member on the server and may only have some responsibilities on the forums.

Banned?

I have never been banned, and will probably never be banned.

Previous experience

I have some mod experience. I ran my own minecraft server for about a year, with a peak of 15 players online. Unfortunately the server is not popular anymore. This does mean that I know how to be a moderator, and I know what to look out for.

May I ask what 2FA is? I don't know what it is and its bothering me.

 

I put neutral for now seeing that you don’t help people in chat, you do have a decent background of the server though and I do see potential in you becoming a mod. Change my mind in game and I will put this as a support!

2 factor authentication enable it after clicking page 18 of home and follow those steps.

 

He does help people, he just uses private messaging. (He helped me once on how I could improve my casino)
When he does use public chat, its usually asking for small help.

I will be helping all people ingame shortly. If people ask questions I normally send a private message to them.

Basically I think it sends a text to your phone with a code to log into your website/app.

 

I noticed you've only been on forums for a month and today was the first day I have really seen you at all. Not a bad application and I do see some potential. Due to the fact I can only base my decision on forums alone as of this moment, I'm going to stay neutral for now.

 

I know I have only been on the forums for a month, but my application is for the server itself, on which I have been for almost 2 years. I do not know if the forums has much to do with a staff member on the server...

 

I have to agree with Universal you've only been on for a month and I suggested you join so,

 

It isn't just an application for the server itself. You'll be expected to use the forums as a staff member; dealing with reports, appeals, etc. Plus, helping out on the forums is another way of showing dedication to the server.

I understand that, and I have already tried to help people in the 'Help' section. I also know how the forums work, and I will be more active on here.

 

Neutral rating isn't a bad thing. I was just suggesting that you should be on the forums more as it will significantly increase your chances of being promoted. I'm banned in-game so that's why I stated that I can only base my decision from what I've seen on forums.
